Gear oil for Suzuki wagonR 2019 vxl

Dear fellows,
Today I visited Suzuki Central Motors for car oil change due at 10000. They charged me around 13k for mobiloil and gear oil change with brakes adjustment. An oil filter and coolant was also put in this price besides 2000+ tax in lieu of service. I think I got robbed as the gear oil charges was beyond my expectations. Are the prices justified.

You definitely got robbed because There’s no point of changing the gear oil at 10,000Kms. Seems like they don’t even trust their own Products.

Never just go to dealership and say "do maintenance"....they will ofc rob you

Have a look at maint schedule in the user manual of ur car and know when to do what....and ask em to do only what u say and nothin more.

I think new gear oil is changed to chances of metal shavings in them.

Never Honda or Toyota did changed the gear oil before 80,000, in fact one time Toyota refused me to change the gear oil by saying that it’s life time. Don’t get me wrong I’m not on their side but changing gear oil at 10,000KMs Doesn’t makes any sense.

The gear oil that was initially put in at the time of purchase was less. Almost two liters of oil was needed so there was no choice but to put that in. On asking, the representative told that wagonR and Cultus variants need this oil. They have no control on price as company dictates the price.
