Gear shifter seal leak need honest mechanic in Rawalpindi islamabad

I have cultus Vxr 2013 model.My car gear shifter seal is leak.seal below gear lever.some mechanic say that no need to change because it will again leak.i need honest opinion regarding this.good reputed mechanic who know charge reasonably in Rawalpindi islamabad.senior Pak wheeler plz help

Recently got this changed in Rawalpindi. Mechanic took 2000 as labour for gear dismantle.
Gear guy maskeen ustaad chah sultan asked 1500 than we settled for 1200. He told me the reason seal leaked is also the shaft it self worn out so seal even new one was lose, so that lever I got for 1000. Got all seals changed around 1000 to 1500.

I also got main seal changed and clutch bearing changed as well as you don't open gear tht often. My clutch and pressure plate was in good condition. For only seal keep around 5k in mind. Get a good seal. I got it from Wasim Autos and usually gear walla don't put good quality seal.

No oil leakage after that.

Mechanic 2000rs for gear opening and fitting ?how much time total process took.Gear shaft was repair or it is engine shall sorry I don't understand shaft..actually Ian illiterate

Yes 2000 for opening and fitting of gear.
Shaft will be replaced with used qabli one if its worn-out.

Let me share picture of it. The one in my hand is worn out the one on floor is what was installed.

Btw you may also need new gear oil if it was not recently replaced.
