About Clipping here is the theory
An Amplifier having fuse of 30A
thats mean total power can be generated
12 X 30=
360W

so if you get voltage that is equivalent to 360 , or less , then its easy to tell amplifier signal are not clipping
Cause Clipping occurs when Head Unit Demands and force to give more power to sub woofer then is rms power
so clipping occurs
360W rms @ 75% of volume @ Every thing Flat
is the best for that amplifier
that have 30A fuse
now Head Unit , : bass boost 3 , Loud High , SLA 4 , L5 , m4 h6 , etc
the demand of Headunit is much for the amplifier to draw power , there fore if amplifier producing above (Fuse Rating X operating voltage ) then i can say its clipping

other wise you will get more then this number easily
like in video i got 63 volts

324Wrms @ 4 ohms
so it mean i have to tune the gain

the voltage i gets is by turning up the gain
What IF i get voltage above 36V ??

then Consider Fuse rating

but some cheap amps wont produce good clean power because they are inefficient. say a cheap chinese 4ch amp with 30x3 amp fuse should technically give close to 325Wrms. but in reality it can only give that in the form of a clipped signal.

I guess one should keep in mind the quality of the amplifier that is being tuned with a multimeter. because cheap low quality amps have high amperage requirements. might need 3x30amp fuses but produce power equivalent to say a good amp with only 2x30amp fuse

THD ,is the thing which proves the quality of amplifier , the lesser will it be , the great quality of amplifier it will be

Audioson HR 100 , a 200Wrms @ 4 ohms amplifier costs over 1,000,000 just becuse it have 0.0001 or less then this number distortion

by the way, an amp that has 2x30 amp fuse might operate even at 85amp. but that is only for short periods of time. because if it operates at 85amp for longer period that obviously the fuse will heat up and melt.

but its possible for a mono amp (with 60amp fuse) to get

85ampx14.4volts=1224Wrmsx80%=979Wrms

but ofcourse...only for a short period of time.

Amplifeir are given 14.4V
and are check by given rms by company spec
and 20Hz to 20000HZ sweep , THD is the Average distortion in between 17980 Waves ,
we play just 1 single sine wave to satisfy ourselves

yes geforce bhai. you are right. I will use your technique to tune the gains of my amp tomorrow using the multimeter i have.

and yes, even waveform does not give the true picture. because ur using a nice clean sine wave at a fixed frequency to tune it. real music is never like that. not to mention the EQ and bassboost/loudness etc that is added on top of it

yar i have one question.

i attached another amplifier on my woofer enclosure, but than took it off. now i have two holes at the back of my woofer because of the screws i used to mount the amp. does this affect sound? because of air leakage? if yes, than how shud i fix it.and also advise about foam/polyfill inside the box..

yes it very minimal depends upon diameter of hole, you cant hear you will be so far from enclosure, 2ndly bass will be so loud , then this noise will be unhearable for you

Always use , FOAM , EGG FOAM , GLASS WOOD
at the back of woofer , i mean that wall on which woofer`s opposite side is kept ( the magnet side )
it will reduce back wave , which bounce and effect woofer next back wave , which causes extra boomy with box noise

you may wonder , why i have kept fans only one side of amplifier

the reason this , the LEFT SIDE OF amplifier is for the use of CH 1 , CH 2, so on its bridge i have hooked up subwoofer
which drawn much current as compare to Speakers
that why the left side gets much hotter then right side
so to keep it on good temperature , i balanced temperature
