It depends on your personal choice, but if I were at your place, I would definitely have chosen DFSK Glory 580 Pro being more value to money in my opinion than Honda BRV-S.

You see brv and glory are a class apart there price difference is more then 10 lacs and if you could afford glory 580 pro go for it or else you could even go with a base glory 580 if budget is low

Thank you but my fear is about the reliability and durability of Glory since they are very new to the market and don’t have much user reviews as well which could help me to take the informed decision

Durability is a question, and Glory 580 has not been in the market long enough and in big enough numbers to make a judgement, and expectations start low because it is Chinese. At this time I believe BR-V is a safe choice, but the disadvantage is that it is a whole class below Glory 580 is smaller, has less space.

Another option is to look into Toyota Prius Alpha, Honda Freed and Toyota Sienta if you need 7 seats but not SUV. Good cars with verified auction sheet and good grade can be purchased for the price of Glory 580.

The build quality is way better then brv as for reliability well that’s something that we have to see but I think glory pro is good enough the company is giving long warranty with it so I suggest you should go for it

Don’t go with some used import as they are used and usually damaged before being brought here a local car is a safe investment

Nowadays there are many options to get the vehicle's condition verified. And the options I have mentioned, specially Prius Alpha, is proven to run for a reasonably long time and very well, there are no questions of reliability, and it is a Toyota.

And in this budget, imported cars in very good condition can be purchased. Imported Prius is more peace of mind with parts available than DFSK which is totally unproven. And 4-4.5 million is a very big amount to risk.

If 7 seats is not a requirement, Sportage Alpha is also a good choice.

Glory all the way. No comparison with brv. If u doubt reliabilty, build quality and durability go n check dongfeng trawlers tractors and youtong master buses. You ll get answer. They are now moving pakistan.

Thanks for the advices. Exploring the good and cleaned Japanese 7 seater is a challenge and if you are spending more than 4.5 million then I believe we should go for the new one to avail the warranty and guarantee of the vehicle for a piece of mind. But on the other side, glory is available for June onward which is itself a big hassle now.

However if the delivery time is a problem I would suggest you to go with normal glory 1.5T or1.8L Cvt as you can get one of those by March and some dealerships even have them in ready stock

Before making a final decision, please read through the Glory 580 thread on this forum and do some research on how it is doing in other countries. Specially there are some concerns about the 1.5 Turbo not able to climb uphill from standstill. DFSK made some changes to the CVT gearbox too. If you do choose Glory, see if you can get the 1.8 NA version which should have more power throughout the RPM range, won't have to wait for turbo to kick in, and won't have the sensitivity to fuel quality and other additional maintenance of a turbo vehicle in Pakistan.

Also do consider that Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tuscon, MG were successful on launch despite being much higher in price, but Glory 580 is not doing so well.

Spending that time on exploring a good car is worth the hassle, Prius Alpha will not disappoint. There are Prius in the world working as cab with over 2-300k miles (not km) on the odometer and still going strong. Spending 4.5 million on a reputable, proven company, Toyota, Honda, Kia, Hyundai, MG, Suzuki etc is more peace of mind in my opinion. 4.5 million is a huge amount.

See if you do not need 7 seats and can settle for Sportage Alpha.

Thank you all once again. We don't have many options available in the market for a brand new 7 seater SUV in the range of 3.5m to 4.5m except BR-V and Glory. I had a detailed review of both of them and found compromised quality in BRV. Whereas Glory could be a good choice if we have more user reviews available for an informed decision.

Glorys current interior is excellent design n quality. But the upcoming interior is a destroyer. Just like tesla interior no buttons

You really have no better option then glory go for it I have test driven one and it really does not lack in any department certainly value for money
