By this forum i want to know if all of you agree with the fact the general tyres have been the cause of numerous acciedents specially in new cars.Last year i bought a new mehran and the road grip was worse than i expected.we usually drove it on highways and when brakes were applied it would simply slip and take a mile to stop!!!!!this had made our life miserable as we are very fond of long drives and the poor road grip was the cause ofaccedents thank god they where minor.then i thought of changing the tyres but unfortunately the car was stolen.thats another story.
Another incident is that once i was driving my swift in blue area.An alto ahead of me was going very slow maybe because of the rain.i overtook the alto ataround 60km/h as i had passed i had to bring my car to a sudden stop as the traffic had stopped. I had to hit the brakes very hard and fortunately stopped inches before getting banged in the car ahead.well i was not that lucky as the alto behind had skidded for a while and bangged in to my car. i got out and noticed that it was an unregistered one. even with so much braking distance the alto could not stop even if i had managed to brake with a higher speed and a small braking distance. well believe it or not i was sure it was the GENERAL xp2000 tyres which are company installed.
We now a days are also hearing that corolla has a braking problem because of bad traction. well i think general tyres are responsible for the bad traction or maybe just enhance it.
So i need you views on this.maybe some
bad expereance with general tyres which i believe have caused alot of accidents.
