no dear, the 555 timer when configured in astable mode that is FLASHER for newbie, the R1 is use for on-time whereas R2 is used for off-time, and if you change the value of R2 that will also result in change of on-time value,
means to say
R1= change of on-time
R2= change of on-time + off-time
and 555 timer is capable of 200mAmp on its output so if you change relay from that SPDT to bigger one (although which is not required because that SPDT relay is capable of handling 5-8 Amp on 12volts whereas your starter solenoid loads 2 amps that means SPDT is more then enough for self solenoid) the bigger relay coil put forwards more load on 555 IC and 555 IC will leak or go bad.
so transistor will be used on 555 output to drive the relay, transistors can handle heavy load.

and to avoid complications and for cost-cutting purpose we will fix the value of R2, and will use variable resistance and R1 for on-timer only.in the end your output is capable of heavy load, your off-time is fixed and on-time is adjustable.

Got your point. Can you upload a schematic with 2 Capacitors, 2 Diodes, 2VR's, Relay and 555 IC?

sorry to say but
i dont know why you all are using 8 or 16 wires u just need.
4 wires if you are using simple on and OFF without petrol solenoid, or gas solenoid .
6 wires if you are using petrol and gas solenoids.

as you can see in my tweaks i just used 6 wires for almost 18 to 20 functions. (including petrol and gas solenoid and oil alert also)

The Circuit that I have uploaded at least needs 6 wires, (2 for IGnition Kill, 2 for Ignition start, 2 from Gen 12V+-) rest 2 are from Battery +- which are already in ignition start and kill wires; so no need to separately bring wires from battery if you can figure out battery + and - from ignition start and kill wires.

That diagram was for those having very little knowledge and equipment and you need a multimeter to figure out battery + and - wires from ignition switch wires.

simply if you dont want to open the panel box,
THEN
wire 1= bridge HT coil ground to kill switch relay.
wire 2=from engine chases to circuit (-) negative and kill switch relay and with N/C point of SPDT flasher relay
wire 3=battery (+)terminal to circuit positive terminal and flasher relay N/O.
wire 4=bridge starter solenoid wire to SPDT flasher relay CO (common point).
in your case
wire 5= from GEN 12 (-)
wire 6= from GEN 12 (+)

in my case GEN 12 (+)(-) not required.

About 555 flasher, it switches the "Common Point" to "NO" and "NC" after preset intervals. Means it will turn the starter motor on and off with fixed intervals. But how, in your case, would the flasher know that generator has started and it no more needs to crank the starter motor?

I used Gen 12+- to power a relay that may cut power to 555 Flasher when generator has started and generating 12V.

its negative is directly connected while positive is via time delay circuit
normally close= petrol solenoid positive
normally open=flasher circuit to power the self
common= battery positive

this delay circuit activates when it gets negative as KESC goes. i hope u understand

replace NG kit spring with honda cd 125 timing spring

dear how can i change that as the builtin spring is just by the size of 1 inch whereas timing spring is almost 2 inches in size, do i have to cut it by the size of original builtin spring or just place it aas it is ?
confused ? help required.

first forcefully place it and see if u can tune your kit to generator. if not then cut it to the standard length

helo PW , yesterday i landed in pak and found my 6.5 Kw generator in dead condition , today i opened it and found this , really an headache in extreme hot weather + ramzan + load shading , today i just opened it and left the remaing job on next day because i was running out of energy ,

i can't adjust my generator without chock on NG. I have to keep chock close for NG setting. I tried this but no success so far for without chock setting.

This way I believe generator eat more gas.

u dont have to adjust a choke on natural gas everytime if its already starting on ng there might be a point at choke where it starts normally just leave the choke there ,and about the bolt on gaskit u mean t valve? adjust that when generator is already on gas for making it stable, thats where that valve works.

But the fan which i connected in place of petrol solenoid keeps on running.
I think i should replace wires of fan with flasher circuit should i do this?

dude the normally open point of T2 goes to petrol and normally close goes to flasher circuit, please correct that, because thats the reason people getting confused.

Bro just swap the wires from FAN to Flasher, means the one which is connected to flasher will go to FAN(petrol solenoid) & FAN wire to teh flasher.

I have swaped the negative wire now flasher circuit is running but time delay circuit whose negative connected with fan is not working properly it does not produce tick sound and hence the fan keeps on running but when i touch or slap its relay then it turns off the fan i also changed its relay but the problem persists.
What should i do?

who said about swaping negative wires negative is common every where positive do the job.

Dude thats not how moizirfan have configured.and thats not gona work as u have directly connected self solenoid to positive. The self solenoid will remain active weather the flasher is on or OFF.
