Need Advise!!!

i check my generator engine oil every 15 days. but From 1 week i noticed my engine oil sensor activate every 3 to 4 days so i checked engine oil is low . today i filled up engine oil so when i start gen it gives too much white smoke for 1 min. so i checked again after 4 hour and again it gives white smoke after start for 1 min. please tell what is the problem.

not sure i think something is wrong with the valves or roker arm or tappet patti

Not sure but stucking cranking could be due to problematic cam gear. spring that lifts the valves during initial start up may not working

you are right. it happened with my friends generator when oil stick got stuck in cam shaft spring. it use to start on 1st self but sometimes rope becomes very hard as if self taking load

Only clearance for gas & petrol is given in this forum as far as i remember. no lpg information given.
You keep that of gas and use LPG by just adjusting the T Valve. (Air/fuel mixture)

I remember for sui gas only. intake 0.10 mm exhaust 0.15 mm plug 0.40 mm. in my opinion lpg par bhe same use hona chahye.

the problem i had of stucking self was due to very very loose tappets it got solved although i could not find my feeler gauge so i adjusted them with a rough estimate now there is smoke from the breather :? i am confused

I recently overhauled a 3.5 engine and had the same issue that you previously had. It was too hard to be pulled and I found the same issue i.e. very loose tappets.

Not so sure about white smoke; either your intake tappet might be too tight or too loose or your intake vale may have been leaking again.

i have decided to make a diesel generator on engine which is locally made, Can any one tell me is that a good idea to run 10-12.5kva alternator with Toyota 2C engine, is it reliable and any other engine which is more effective for the given scenario. Thanks.

I am new to this forum, can any one help I have 2 kva jassco generator last year I got it overhauled, till few days back it started to make problem starts on half crank at petrol and shifts easily to gas as well but when load is put on generator it starts to vibrate till that extend that one will feel gen is going to close and then pick up and run normally I check spark plug its full of carbon and this is happening quite often, previously never happened. Voltage is also dropping as load is put on and oil level is decreasing to i have to add on 250 ml every week to maintain oil level, previously. I never added oil and use to change oil in every 15 days. Any suggestion I think it's a valve seal.

i have 2kvs jassco generator, i got its engine overhauled in last july, it was running fine but suddenly it started giving me problem, had trouble in converting into gas, spark plug is getting full of carbon quite often (in 5 to 6 days i have to clean it), previously i had to clean spark plug in 2 or 3 months. voltage drops as load is put on generator previously never happened and voltage was constant. even now it starts in half crank on petrol and comfortably shifted on gas but once the load is put on (even 2 fans and 2 tube lights) it starts to vibrate as almost generator is going to shut off and then runs smoothly for a full session of 2 hrs of load shedding. i don't see any smoke, but oil is getting low previously i never add on oil but now i have to addon oil in every week upto 250 ml and accordingly air filter is full of oil in few days.
i got it checked by several mecahinics but of no use, i think they are not be able to understand the issue.

if some one can help/guide me.

check engine head. Probably head valves are leaking and not properly seating. engine not taking load due to this.

Instead of getting repaired again better to buy complete new set of engine head will cost you around rs 1100

Voltage also drop as load is gradually put on (from 230 to 218, from 2 fans and a tv plus two tube lights to 6 fans and 4 tube lights and tv plus computer) and oil level is decreasing to i have to add on 250 ml every week to maintain oil level, previously. I never added oil and use to change oil in every 15 days. today morning i have noticed that unused (unused because it was red in color as i use havoline 20-50) oil drops (its was more than a drop u can say 10 to 20 ml)on the floor below the air filter and carb side, just 3 days back i have drained old oil and re fill it with new. Any suggestion I think it's a intake valve leak, i want to be damn sure before to open head.
