My work on ats is almost done i haven't
bought the petrol solenoid yet.I m gonna use my gen on lpg.Now the question is if i run out of lpg and want to run my gen on petrol then what should i need to do?

what if i use rickshaw mobil oil bottle for petrol and connect it with solenoid this will be used for starting the gen and the main fuel tank will be used for continuous
running on petrol i will simply turn the lever on/off when needed
will this work???

Yes afnan1112 it will work and add a diode across solenoid or additional relay so that petrol solenoid does not malfunction the ats due to its strong induction

A single 1.5 ampere diode ACROSS the solenoid terminals. Means the two terminals of solenoid are connected by diode in such a way that once u connect the diode it will short circuit the wires then u flip the diode position it won't short circuit then. This position in which the solenoid terminals are not short circuiting is the way to connect the diode. I hope u got that

A diode only flows current in single direction so you connect the diode in parallel to solenoid in such a way that it does not short circuit. If it shorts then flip the diode terminals

I plan to convert my kick start yamaha 2kv generator to Self Start. I only want to know how can the stater motor be firmly fitted. Can any kharadia do?? Has anyone did this? If so Pl share your experience. Thanks
