I've got a 5kva Angel china generator and it has done 785 hours with regular oil change(80 hours) spark plug change @ 500 hours with valve clearance that too @500 hours. I haven't touched the air filter since the last 200 hours. China ftw

and the feeling is totally amazing right now..No load shedding at all but as u know..
have to prepare it for summers.. ..btw need to ask anyone using 2 separate sui gas meters?
can i apply for another?(lhr members need help)

dude we have ats, so no need to press the switch, ats will do the job to start and to shut the generator.
for your purpose u need 555 IC and use it as flip flop.

I only use generator at home, no wapda yet.
do you have a diagram on how to wire it etc.? that would be really helpful:)

Well here loadshedding is consistent 6 hours a day regardless of winters or summers
I am using 2 sui meters. one for domestic and other for generator. (applied for gen one by writing on the form that I require it for my first floor kitchen. lolz) These days u need to have a NOC certificate from the building control authority then only they will accept the application. Atleast here this practice is followed

Basically my generator is on the roof and I don't have Wapda at home yet so no ATS. It is a self start one(AlhamduLillah) and I want a simple mechanism where I can push a button or something which starts it and push it again to stop it.

So it's just mimicking the movement of the key and sending a signal to the starter. Possible Han?

is there a possibility that I could remove the key mechanism and extend the wiring?

anyone can help me out... i just overhaul my Swan3500 Chinese Generator after seeing this thread.. everything goes well except ... when i start my generator it goes hell fast like hell .. to foran off kardeta hun... i think something wrongs with Governor Arm... anyone could helpme "How to Adjust The Governor Arm with Carb" or in other words.. Rpm Adjustment.. 1 thing more.. my idle screw is totally Unscrewed.. bilkul loose hai rpm screw..

Tighten the RPM screw. It that doesn't work out, get a mechanic from nearby, he won't charge you much

Copy and paste from Uncle Google:
Adjust the frequency by stopping the engine and loosening the bolt that clamps the governor arm to the governor shaft. Then stick a screwdriver in the slot in the governor shaft and turn it so it changes orientation with respect to the governor arm. I believe it will be counterclockwise to speed the engine up and clockwise to slow it down. Tighten up the clamp, start the engine, and measure again. Repeat until it's right.
