Well it's fine in your case but in my case ng pressure is dependent on days of week as well as different times of day. In my city, CNG pumps are allowed to sale just Mondays and Thursdays so domestic pressure is almost nil on these days. I have to set the pump to almost full (just above number 7) to get the generator running. In rest of the week, pressure is very good; at cooking time I have to set it to number 2 or 3 but at night and other times of day I keep it even below number 1 (as low as the *** can be rotated anticlockwise). So pressure keeps on fluctuating.

You can buy it from any generator shop in your area/city; it is available in almost all capacities of Chinese generators; These aftermarket engines are full package and contain each and every thing except for silencer, you'll use the silencer from your old engine. You may either replace the engine yourself or any mechanic will do the job; your old engine can be sold from RS. 1500 to Rs. 2500; Mechanics usually take old engine in exchange of their labor.

just bought another GENE today, JD is not same in quality anymore better go with LONCIN. I did check both engines personally and loncin is better then JD in my view. loncin new engine will cost you 14000 PKR with replacement cost (500 PKR) included.

I hv also decided to buy a new gene on monday. Rather than going into engine change or an overhaul. Getting lutian brand 3.5kva with gas kit and free home delivery in 32k. Any thoughts on that? And any price idea for loncin?

My generator (7kva) clocked 1130 hours is quite freaking me out as on NG it starts fine(sometimes it don't,but on petrol it starts ok) but then starts giving phuk phuk duk duk kinda sounds, as if it will die any moment.And if @ that moment, no load is applied it survives.But if load is applied its dies out completely.
Gas supply from kit is same as it was before.I tried to variate to see some improvement but of no use.
It served me well for 15 months(it runs 1.5ton Ac).But now its creating this problem.
However if started on petrol and then converted to gas its fine.
All the problems I mentioned occur if operated on NG. It was perfect on NG a week before.
What can be the possible culprit.

Dear that's your valve leakage problem I would suggest you to open your head and check for exhaust valve.

Anybody have any idea if oversized valves make any difference or is it healthy for GENE to go for over-sized valve or replacing the head with new one would be better.

to my knowledge. over sized valve doesnot make much difference, new head only recommended when valve guides are weak. i have seen my gen mechanic replaced the head with a honda gen head, guides never gives up in hondas.

First check your ng pressure;

1- Take a bottle more than one foot tall and fill it with water.
2- place a scale (1 Foot) with that bottle (Zero should be floor and 12 should be towards bottle's lid)
3- put the gas pipe from a gas outlet in the bottle deep to the bottom of bottle with gas opened
4- there'll be no bubbles at bottom; now slowly pull the pipe and note the inch at which bubbles start popping out of the pipe.
5- multiply that inch with 2.5 and it will be your gas pressure in millibars. You should have 20 millibars of pressure to run the gen properly. 18 may also work but less than that it's very hard for gen.

If your pressure is low try using some pumping mechanism.

If pressure is fine, then 1- clean the air filter 2- check tappet adjustment 3- check spark plug. There must be some problem in any of these. If not then borrow some working ng kit from some friend and check if your ng kit is not faulty.

Off-course Loncin is best in these Chinese brands but after-sale Loncin engine is not available in my city. Loncin is the best option if after sale engine is available. I just bought a JD Engine today for my 7.5 KVA gen it 420cc and cost me 20k; tonight I'll install it in my gene. will upload pics tomorrow.

Any body how much loncin 3.5 kva costing now a days? And if loncin expansive than other chinese brands than is it worth spending some xtra bucks for loncin?

Thanks for your detailed reply.I replaced spark plug and cleaned filter yesterday. Will check gas pressure and valve adjustment tomorrow.
Ng kit testing is another good suggestion.I'll try that too and will update U here.

lutian is the cheapest generator from china it almost costs 25000 so you are paying 7k extra for the worst quality
best brands from china are
loncin dont have the same quality now than it was earlier because of large production quality decreases
RATO comes under the name of RATO and SANCO will cost u approx 38k
second best brand is WEIMA
comes under the brand of WEIMA , BRAVO, MAGMA, SIGMA best thing about this generator is its much silent and smooth then all other generators. if you

please dont go for head replacement get your generator head to so called kharadia rest he wil do it for you in just 400-500 rs

loncin dont give same quality as before because of increased production quality is reduced there are many complains regarding decrease in oil level of new engine

loncin 3.5 kva from china costs 26k approx (WHEN $ was 108) and the pakistani importer is makin hell profit jst selling the loncin name.
