i have simple query, We had installed change over switch with or generator 5 years ago, Brand is imco, It is rated as 30 amperes, 4 poles, 3 phase Brand: imco, It is of old type handle type Brand is imco, It is rated as 30 amperes, 4 poles, 3 phase Brand: imco, It is of old type
now last week, during changing, metal rod inside got cracked, so ii has to press with lil force. It is difficult situation for Ladies in my family specially
so i have to replace it, Electrician came & told that replace 30 Ampere with 60 Amperes, 3 phase, 4 pole switch
my questions are:
Q1: What are reliable brand & price etc. ? ( i saw khyber brand cost 4,000, while fico cost around 2,500/= ,imco cost Rs. 1,000/=)
Q2: is it wise to switch to higher from 30 A to 60 A( i dont want to pay ectra penny for such stuffs if 30 A is ok for my current need)
Q3: can i replace this old conventional with new 1-0-2 know switch ? 3 Position Three Phase Panel Rotary Changeover Switch (where i can put my KESC line on "1", Neutral at "o" & put Generator on "2" ? is it possible? in that case, 3 different wires coming from 3 different phases? how they all 3 would merge &? how they 3 get installed without the risk of short circuit
