Hi Everyone,
This feels good to see here techies and experts on this forum

I have Jasco J3800-S 3.2 KW, 2 years of years of good performance we take

I am having certain issues:

1-Bridge Rectifier is faulty very often (in the Panel)
I have modified to cool its head area by installing a old radiator fan of car right under head. opened air muffler so now hot air is sucked by fan and spread on its flooring. This helps keep its head quite below temps. I connected the fan directly to generators DC output terminals rated: DC Output 12V x 8.3A . Fan is hardly 2 Amps.

2-not starts easily on Gas.
I have replaced new plug original NGK BP6EY and gap set to 5.3 mm approx. But it takes three or more self's to start.

3- Tappets Valve clearance
currently it is: Intake : 0.10 mm and Exhaust 0.15 mm is this Correct?

4- I observed my generator sucks more gas. when my generator is on, no gas in kitchen mostly.
neighbours using 5KVA generator on gas but not having this issue. we checked by someone, he says gas pressure and setting is normal

5-which oil to use
we are using TOTAL QUARTZ mineral oil. it is somewhat expensive.

6-electrical diagram
I need the electrical diagram of china generators showing electrical connections of stator, rotor, avr, start switch etc. I searched on net a lot but no avail.

I'm inspired by all of you guys and will be doing the same soon INSHALLAH. I want to know that how can i remove this carbon hard particles which stick permenantly. You can check the pics.
Basically i bought this genrator 6 months back and i was using the same JASCOO oil as they said to use only this oil. The result of that oil is infronvt of me when my Intake Valve get jammed and had to b replaced. Now using zic oil.

I mean yeh itna hard hai carbon like i cant even remove it if i scratch from a metalic piece

DEAR

don't do it, leave it as it is. Its neither oil nor bad quality of gen. we all suffer from it. when these run on natural gas it happen.
Its normal due to this engine type n design.

Dear brothers AoA, i was recently browsing this thread, and need to build that ATS made by agoodfriend, there few pages ahead he says there he spotted a connection error in diagram and post a good resolution diagram which was on hotfile , the post is old and that website is no longer opening...

Can anyone give me corrected diagram of ATS + Changeover circuit and if anyone have complete list of parts or what was the connection error if anyone can point me out..., can post pls or msg me. thanks

thats nice , but this generator is not original yamaha , ats looks nice and i guess it also performs well , mine looks funny infront of yours but still 100% effective and automatic , and cost not more than 1500 rs ,

ats where u get ats or make ats for genertaor could u guide me i have homage 2.8kva gasoline generator i have auto off pannel combination of two relays one for switching one for load change but i am looking for auto start also ... please kia koi meri help karsakta hai, merey pass honda 4.5 kva ka generator hai last three yrs say, woh mainay used main buy kia tha. is mai 1 problem hai, woh ye kay 2 to 2.5 hrs ki running main 3/4 dafa max voltage ko shot karta hai 280/300 tak for 1 to 5 secs max, jab voltage shoot karta hai us waqt generator kay RPM bhi increase kar jatay hain. mainay 2/3 mechanics say check karaya lekin woh jab 15/20 min chalatay hai to voltage shoot nahi karta, mechanic bolta hai kia dekho phir apni stories paisay bana nay ki kay AVR change karkay dekho wagera wagera, lekin koi solution nahi day para sahi say kay kia wajah hosakti hai. mainay normally main generator winter man nahi chalata due to gas increase consumption, abhi 15 days pehlay start kia tha 2 din pehlay tak bhi aik dafa bhi is nay voltage shoot nahi kia, 2 din say phir shorw kia hai same practice....samjh nahi ata kia wajah hai.....koi senior bhai agar guide lines day sakay ya problem identify kara sakay jazakAllah

get armature winding checked and replace avr first its a cheap part its the avr or armature causing this problem

This thread has been a great source of information and designs/ingenuity indeed for which firstly I thank you all. I still own an air cooled manual choke gen which never started on NG so still run it on petrol and do use liq-moli 20/50 engine oil,

As this thread started back in 2012... my curiosity is how many of the home-brewed ATS AMF have survived/burnt/damaged/still in use/ owners experiences...
