well i am using a solenoid valve which i pulled from instant water gas heater , its originally of 3V and i rewind it so that it can run on 12V , you can convert that generator on selfstart , all you need is a ring gear which fits on fly wheel and a starter motor , both these things are easily availabe in market , i suggest you batter change the complete fly wheel because there are magnets inside the fly wheel which generate current for charging , so batter replace whole fly wheel which comes along with the magnets , also need to buy a coil ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i have once convert my uncle's briggs and starton generator in to self start and then to auto start ,,,,,,,,,there is another option ,,,,,,,,,,you simply instal a ring on fly wheel and for battery charging you can use the 220v output of generator ,,,,,,,,,,use a transformer that runs on gen output and charge the battery ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i do exzactelly same ,,,,,,,,,,,but in this case the auto start circuit will be way too complicated , and i remember that circuit which i made was too complicated,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,right now i desigh a new / compact / easy to mentain circuit which uses very very few parts , and performace is all ok and its in use at this time while i am writing this message ,
