and 2nd why u wana use it on LPG?
no natural gas available?

One thing, Please explain, I have chariness generator, its 5KVA, it operates on gas . But these issues is with consumption of Engine oil which quite high .
Suggest any ?

a really good advice everyone shud follow even ask at the shops to change the plug so it will be there headache..at the time of buying

for 7 kva generator what should be the length of flame in moded gaskit provided the gas pressure is very high in the main line. how to counter this pressure

ok that 2 cabels ..............
when i brought back to home i conected that 2 cabels again and faced again same problem.
Then i disconnected them and gen is running fine but when i tried to stop with key it was not stoping , so i conect one cable again and it stoped with key.
But now when i connect the other cable again same problem.
so i keep disconnect one cable which was closing the throttle or giving sense to throttle to close.
Now plz help me out the purpose of that specific cable.
if it is oil senser then it have very much important , i donot want to bypass my oil senser cable, or may be the senser is faulty.

what mean by ht and ground cable......................

by default the generator shuts down when the wire coming from HT coil is grounded means if you connect the HT coil wire to negative terminal of battery or the metal frame of generator the generator should shut off. so when you shut of the generator by key the above mechanism takes place.
Since by connecting the cable is shutting the generator therefore the HT coil is somewhere touching the metal frame of generator. You have to trace it and confirm that HT coil wire is connected properly and fully insulated.

The cable you disconnect is a single wire right? If yes then disconnect it and start generator and then touch it with metal frame. the generator should shut off means it is HT coil wire.

the other reason could be oil sensor issue.

same time ptcl's net went too :S daily at night internet goes too with electricity ..using ptcl's ONU line..then came online again from my bakups witribe..
well dude..
on petrol yamaha 5kva takes around 1.5litres for n hour with whole load.
and loncin 2.5kwa runs for 1.5hours in 1litre..
and not sure about natural gas consumption ..paid around rs5000 march's bill and u wont belive how much i paid in april .. 14000+ i dono how they calculate i guess after some units they keep on multiplying the more the units consumed the more big number they multiply with..went outside to check when generator was running the meter was pretty fast.. waitin for may's bill will let you know..

@luckyman1 do check if its oil cable? connect it again as it is for generator's safetly
and always check ur oil dont make ur generator run abov 60 hours on same oil
and always use a good quality oil be good with generators they will be good with you as they are more imp then car's these days..lol
do take a pic of that wire..
it can be a coil wire coming out frm the backside of flywheel.. and ground is - ur whole generator's body is ground..
so if u touch the ht coil wire with genny's body ur gen will be off..yeah those 2 same wires use in switch.. for Turing it off and 2 from starter motor's solenoid for turning it onn..

I wonder why you guys have immense gas bills.
Are your meter commercial??
My gas consumption is around RS 800/month with 6 hours running of generator daily.Engine is 196cc
Once i noticed slight increase in gas consumption as I check the meter weekly.The red units in gas meter were moving despite generator switched off which is due to some leaks and I spotted the leak near generator gas line by flame test now my consumption is 41 units for this week

o:o:o means 6kva generator is gonna cost me alot

these are too much consumptions...load shdding time here in lahore is about 11-13hours...

14000+ o i read some where in this thread @agood friend mentioned he paid Rs500 bill when he was using 2.5 kva genset

btw i'll be using my 6kva on LPG gas... lets see what will be the comsumption of it on LPG...the generator im planing to buy got 460cc engine

daily usage is like 14 hours..
not sure if you want ill make a video of meter running in daytime on generator?

actually my dad is afraid of using it on natural gas coz it is not-allowed..and he heard in news that if they catch some one using generator on NG, they will cut their home gas connection and one had pay fine too..

not sure about the bigger the gen gets the more vaccum ...u wont be able to adjust it just by the flame and then u have to adjust it by giving the gas not by adjusting the flame..
if the pressure is really high and u wont b able to stop it with the ngkit then u have to buy a lpg or gas regulator if you have seen one LPG cylenders? those..

Correct me if i am wrong.
I don't know HT coil purpose but I know where its located and it stops the generator when grounded

no I haven't seen those regulators but I get your point of reducing the gas flow
