I have a LC3000DDC 2.8kv generator at home, I run it with both petrol and gas, mostly gas. Please help me, I want to make it autostart on power cut down, (sorry I don't know the exact terminology here). Please let me know whether I can do this autostart thing with this model of Loncin, secondly if it is possible, what devices are required and how much will it cost me in Lahore.

I have another query.
I am running this generator for the past 2 years without any hiccup, but recently it has started to give troubles while starting, earlier it took only 1 to 2 kicks to start but now it is really annoying me to the core. I have changed the plug twice, it works fine for sometime after changing but later it goes back to its annoying routine. What might be the problem (I haven't overhauled it yet cause people say that once it is opened, it will never be the same.)
My haunch is, it needs an overhauling now, please let me know how much will it cost if the technician provides the service at my doorstep.
And if any member has any contact who does the work perfectly please share it with me.

JASCO AND OES(cummins) are charging about Rs49,000/- for their similar kva set

Should i spend these extra bucks or stick to Locin ??

did u bought the relay for change over switch or you will be using manual changeover switch .

Yes i have bought the changeover relay switch. Work on sunday was postponed due to family business. But here are the ATS pics. Casing has been selected, will be installing the kit insha Allah today or tomorrow.

well may be it dont need any overhaulling ,,,,,,,just simple tune will can do the job,,,,,,,,,,,if you never adjust the tappets in all that time then re adjust them ,,,,,,,,,,,

I have also posted earlier that my generator runs fine but not so well on high load (which I have now figured was most probably due to low gas pressure) and consumed too much oil without any smoke or other problems. I had bought the tools and everything but went out of city for three days and when I came back the the generator flywheel was JAMMED!

Now its at a workshop.

Now my question is that the gen. was on the roof under direct sunlight. And father said that some one told him that there is some rubber inside which might have broken due to the heat and caused high oil consumption. I dont know what he was referring to. Is there any such thing?

engine has been seized engine ,,,,,,,,,,probably because of overheat up as it may get direct sun light on roof,,,,,,,,,no rubber inside it ,,,,,,,,,,,,but some plastic parts like the oil sensor is of ABS plastic and in some engines the cam shaft is of teflon plastic,,,,,,,,,,

Yes stick to locin
I myself is running locin just on gas for almost 3 months.
One of my relative is also using the same 2.5 kva locin on gas for about 9 months. trouble free. MASHALLAH

@goodfriend / expert membersBro I am a new user here, please help me out.I have a Loncin 3000DV 2.5kv generator, the problem is from the past 3 days its spark plug is getting foul again and again.Like once it starts it runs perfectly, but after I turn it off and try to start it again, it doesn't respond until I clean the spark plug.I have bought 3 spark plugs but all three ended up failing, so I guess there is something wrong inside.Please tell me what could possibly be the reason and how could I rectify it...

I need ATS panel (some good brand preferably) for my 5.5 kv genset (aurora). Any suggestions where to buy in Lahore? Aurora is offering ATS panel worth 22000/-.
