today i spoted this 2.5Kw genertor which was in use at a shop and was laying at the foot path , its fitted with big cylincer and have very very less noice as compared to the stock cylincer , sale man of that shop conformed that we have do that mod on our own

Hi. Have anyone happend to work on 12 KW custom built generator using Chinese Denmo and Toyota Engine.

I want to know if such alternator also has AVR the way we have in same 2.5 KW generators?? I want to adjust its voltage and engine rpm!!

nops u dont need that point now..
the way guru told you ur relay already using points from self..
so this one is good besides that ur solenoid will be shifted from ur generators battery to 12vdc transformer so ur battery will be only used during starting..no specific shop,relay will be available at ganda nala's hall road..
u need a 12vdc 8 point 10amp relay,12V transformer and do show ur transformer to shopwala and ask him u wanna turn this transformer into 12vDC so give diodes according to ur transformer, also mark the 220v and 12v side of transformer.

@goodfriend / expert membersBro I am a new user here, please help me out.I have a Loncin 3000DV 2.5kv generator, the problem is from the past 3 days its spark plug is getting foul again and again.Like once it starts it runs perfectly, but after I turn it off and try to start it again, it doesn't respond until I clean the spark plug.I have bought 3 spark plugs but all three ended up failing, so I guess there is something wrong inside.Please tell me what could possibly be the reason and how could I rectify it...

Dude, simply tappets (in OHV) set kardo, ic ki settings out hain jabi spark plug short horaha hai bar baar!

its not because of spark plug,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you make a venturi at the wrong place,,,,,,,,,,

while engine is running at fluctuating RPM,,,,,,,,squeeze or press the pipe which goes from NG kit to venturi,,,,,,,,,,you will notice that engine RPM will become stable but at the same time it will die within few seconds,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,batter make a venturi at the right place in the carburator,,,,,,,,,,,,,it wont work if you make it at some other place,,,,,,,,,,,,

4 wires comming out from rotor and going into the connection plate as i mention in pic ?..........in single phase generator there are just 2 wires ,,,,,,,,,,,if there are 4 then it may be a 3 phase generator ,,,,,,,,,,,

yes started such project but leave it in the middle ,,,,,,,,,,those alterators are 2 pole , mean they need to run on 1500 RPM ,,,,,,,,,and they have built in AVR ,,,,,,some good quality are brushless

dear the transformer depends on the input of solenoid ,,,,,,,,,,if you use high amp transformer then solenoid will overheat,,,,,,,,,i think the installed in my ATS is not more than 1 amp,,,,,,,,,,,hanimughal can tell you the shop in lahore ,,,,,

which carb you want to drill ,,,,,,,,all chinese generators have a place to drill hole ,,,,,,,,,once i work on briggs and stator engine and i dont find any place to drill in it carb ,,,,,,,,,you also mess in similar situation ?

please take a look, is it fine place for venturi?? i dont have anyother place on carb to drill hole??
i can share carb pics too, its having problem these days, as its not taking load too much, just 3 fans and generator about to die, maybe its because of exaust valve worn off, as you mentioned earlier posts, but i have done its overhauled by mechanic, anyways i want to make sure my carb venturi is not making any problems!

AOA everyone.

Agoodfriend i need your advice regarding my gen. its a chinese made astrakorea 2.8kw gen it came with silver winding which blew off within 1 week of purchase so i had it re-wound (stator only) and it went on for like 3-4 yrs. Recently its rotor winding was also burnt/blown so i got it re-wound with coppor, but now the problem is that the new winding has burnt 2 AVRs. Although i have recently got a new Firman SPG3000E2 which looks and sounds like a wonderful machine but i still want to repair my old astrakorea and keep it as a sbackup.

Any ideas why the new winding is burning the AVRs as i have already checked the polarity, the bearing is also ok.. The only thing i can see is that the AVRs go on for atleast 20-25 min when they start overheating and they blow off.. The back housing also gets very hot. The fan is ok and fully secured with depoxy and a screw so that is also not an issue. Any suggestions/help will be appreciated. Thanks..

Also regarding your ATS I was thinking about making one myself but i have a question that as you have used a 2step relay instead of 3 step won't there be a danger of mixing up gen. phase with mains phase where the relay is only controlling one phase and other 2 phases are direct. In other words what if someone accidently switched wires on the gen and its phase is connected with the mains neutral? The appliances on other phases will get phase voltage on both phase and neutral in case when mains electricity is restored. Correct me if I am wrong? Can we put some sort of control circuit to sense reverse wire connections on gen.? And then not allow the changeover circuit to switch in case if wires are mixed up/changed?

It's the basic chines carburetor bought from the market, i have jasco 1KW genset, will show you the carburetor's pics!

another thing is, today i opened my tappets to see the valves condition, i found the exhaust valve worned a bit, but its also too much black around it, too much or i would say heavy carbon/debris sticked to the area around it, where as intake valve is clean as new, as i have repaired the intake valve before a month or half via mechanic, there wasnt any need to repair the exhaust valve at that time!

and there is visible white smoke coming from breather pipe, and when i take the filter foam out it gets kinda stable, when put it back, it gets kind of suffocating, (Filter is new and cleaned) maybe its because of worned off valve ??

And Hats Off to you for all of your effort putting online this thread, i searched whole internet, couldnt find any thing, but here at PakWheels and because of you!
