Ghauri Town - An Illegal Housing Society

Yesterday, CDA declared Ghauri Town and Abullah Town as illegal societies and started action against them. Society offices were sealed and entrance gates were also sealed by placing mud there. In reply residents started protest and Islamabad Express Way was blocked. Residents were of the view that they have expended entire their savings in this town and now CDA has got news..

"Will CDA continue its stand or it is just another bribe case???"

Question being....when the residents were constructing their houses why not stop them then.......CDA = a big cesspool....abs shameless......its been years over years and they let the society grow...now they say its illegal

CDA has a list of some 30 illegal societies. Many are underdevelopment right now, so why not stop them? Also who the hell was providing gas/electricity/water to ghauri town all this time if it was illegal? Normally if you start a repair on your house in islamabad, the cda people would come and check if anything illegal is not getting constructed so how could they let some 30 societies develop if those are illegal?

Clearly CDA is at fault! I know a few families who spent their entire life savings on building their house and now you can't ask the residents to abandon what they built! Shame on the authorities...
