You are fitting in too many places within the time frame available at hand. Following are the issues that you would be facing:
1. Babusar Top is closed and would not be open till end of June. This means that you will have to join KKH from Mansehra. This route is long, rugged and very brutal on the suspension of the car.
2. It is 18 to 20 hours drive from Lahore to Gilgit when Naran route is closed.
3. Road from Gilgit to Skardu is again in a very bad shape and demands careful driving. It is a long journey at least 10 to 12 hours.
4. Fairy Meadows trip requires at least 2 days where some distance is covered on Jeep (up to Tattu) and rest has to be trekked.
5. Naltar Valley is a one day trip.
6. Trip to Khunjerab Pass from Karimabad (Hunza) takes whole day. Approx 5 to 6 hours one side.
You need to ask yourself following questions before finalizing the itinerary:
- What is the condition of my car. Is it capable of enduring long hours of wear and tear.
- Are you prepared to drive for 18 - 20 hours on a stretch ?
- Female members accompanying on this trip are OK with such travel stretches.
- Are you prepared to trek if Fairy Meadows is a must on your list.
Following itinerary can be followed:
Day 1: Lahore to Mansehra
Day 2: Mansehra to Karimabad (Hunza)
Day 3: Altit Fort, Baltit Fort, Karimabad Bazaar, Cafe De Hunza, Eagle's Nest.
