Glass Coating?

I am currently testing a product on my own car, the black honda vezel i posted the photos of. So far everything is good but if the results are durable and worth the money then I will try and bring it to Pakistan inshallah. Will try and order in bulk to bring the end-consumer price low.

hey guys i am planning to buy a used civic 8th gen. The body is showered (repainted) and hence does not have that shine as the original paint should have.can any of the coatings provide that shine when applied to a repainted car?

Glass Coating or a sealant is applied to a freshly corrected finish
Maybe the above mentioned car could do with a correctional detail and that could restore the gloss and clarity
Some pics would be helpful to assess the condition
P.S sealant,glass coats and even waxed finish require maintenance detail and care so there's no point in getting an expensive detail job and get your car washed by your local sarvis istashun

almost every repainted car has orange peel (wavy texture on paint), so in order to get clear reflection shine, orange peel has to be remove by sanding then compounding to get paint leveled.

1. In simple terms, glass coating is usually silica based colorless liquid glass in a bottle. As soon as it comes into contact with air it starts to harden and solidify over 12 to 24 hours and becomes a hard glass coating when you apply it over your vehicle surface.

2. When you coat a dark colored vehicle it will add depth to your paint because coating will create a shiny smooth surface which will reflect light much better than regular paint. It will also repel water and dust much better than regular paint surface but the most important part is that it will protect your paint from light scratches, light stone chips and most of all it will protect it from light swirl marks caused by wiping a dirty car with dry/slightly damp cloth like most service stations do. Is it necessary to glass coat a vehicle? That is totally upto you. If you think that the cost is worth the pros of having the car coated then you should have it coated otherwise just use a nice quality wax every week which will give your car the shine but will be nowhere near as protective as a nano-coating will be.

3. CONS:
It is relatively expensive then other detailing products. ( But if your consider its advantages then the price sometimes seems justified)
Most glass coatings are based on Silica SiO2 which is basically POISON. Be-careful when applying it, try not to inhale the fumes directly from bottle. Never eat anything off the coated surface or near an open bottle. Some glass coatings have an active cleaning agent added to it in the form of isopropyl or any other form of alcohol which basically makes the coating highly INFLAMMABLE.
In my opinion nano-technology based ceramic coating is much much better in this regards as it is totally inert. Fire resistant, Has better UV protection which means that if you coat your car's windows with it as well then your car will be considerably cooler in sun then any other untreated car which is a blessing in our summers when you have to park a car under sunlight. Ceramic coating are used around the world not only for coating cars but for coating many surfaces, for example solar panels, kitchen counter-tops, even expensive clothing items can be ceramic coated for protection against water, dust, stains, UV, oxidation and other chemicals.

I hope that I have answered your questions to the best of my knowledge and i hope that this will be helpful to you.

I have access to a nano level digital microscope at work which can reveal a billionth of a meter size particles in any material. We have a whole department of material science engineers, if anyone has any questions in this regards, feel free to ask me. @danishhaseen From the photos, it looks like you are asking about bird droppings. In my experience bird dropping don't simply slide off the ceramic coated surface. However, it can be cleaned much much easier compared to a non-coated surface. You can clean this off with just a single spray of water and wipe it clean with a cloth. No chemical required.

You specifically asked about glass coating, I have not experienced cleaning bird droppings off a glass coated car yet so I cannot say about that but ceramic coating is a better version of glass coating. By this logic, glass coated should also help in cleaning bird droppings off of the vehicle surface, Maybe not as much as ceramic coating does but still to some extent.

Thanks i have done Ceramic Coating from Miracle detail Karachi but im not satisfied he has used 58x Ceramic Coating 9h as he told me Allah better knows, just tell me one thing more if just wash the car water leave as it don't wipe off so water left as you shown in picture if i left like that for whole night so its leaves Water spots. Even i run a car mud water then also leave a sopts i have to wipe by micro fiber cloth but i can easily wipe. I saw in videos theys run a car on mud water but still car is very clean.

The water in Pakistan has lots of impurities and salts in it. That is why when you leave water on the surface of your vehicle, it leaves water marks when it dries off. I have never used 58x ceramic coating so I don't know the quality of that product but the way you apply ceramic coating matters alot. You will not get proper results if the application procedure is not correct. 2 most important things are 1. Surface preparation 2. Quantity of material being used to coat. If the person applying the coating is not experienced he will most probably put more coating in one place and less in some other areas. People apply coating as they apply wax which creates issues. Ceramic coating has to be a thin layer therefore the less the better. If you need better protection then apply multiple coats but don't try and apply too much product in single coat. It will ruin the results. This might be what happened with your vehicle.

Moreover, the dirt in Pakistan is way too sticky. Water mixed with dirt will not roll off the coated surface easily. Don't expect the whole car to be clean after spraying it with water. 95% water should roll off from most inclined surfaces but on level surfaces water will bead but will not roll off on its own. Therefore gentle drying is required. You can use a microfiber with light hand or just the pressured air at service stations should dry your ceramic coated car very well.

From these photos, it doesn't even seem like it's beading at all. Can you publish photos of water being sprayed at your vehicle from distance of about 2 feet. That will show if the water is beading or no. If it isn't beading at all then I am afraid your vehicle doesn't even have a nano-coating on it at this point.
