injector cleaner is just a gimmick. petrol already has additives in it that will keep clogging to occur. not to forget that there is fuel filter too so most of the dirt is held by fuel filter. people fall for all type of products and then end up with bad mileage, poor response from car etc. why no company recommends injector cleaner products? proper way to clean injectors is to take them out, put them in a machine that is made of glass so that spray of injector is also visible. injector cleaner in fuel tank effs up the fuel lines as well. not to mention that injectors cleaning is not required at early level of mere 20k kms.
another thing, do not get cat con cleaned/ etc. do an italian tuneup. drive the car on high revs, that usually gets the clogging of cat con clear. temperature in cats is very high so usually clogging dosnt happen anyway unless your car is running very rich and unburnt petrol clogs up the cat. try the following.
- change engine and gear oil (if not already done) use 5-40W fully synthetic oil of any company youre comforable with
- Drive on high revs once for about 4-5 kms. redline the car on 2nd and 3rd gear (i know its auto car so try doing this by manually shifting the auto lever to one level up on red line)
- change fuel station
- keep tires well balanced and aligned.
- also try re-setting the ECU and connect any obd-2 scanner and check what are your car's short and long fuel trim value. (share here)
- do not go for any tuneup, Tb cleaning, cat con cleaning etc. they are worthless and will just cause drain on your money.
do the above steps and hopefully things will get better.
