Good mechanic for rx8 in islamabad

guys know any good mechanic in isd for rx8 tunning.car not smooth above 6000rpm and there is some knocking at roughly the same rpm.would appreciate a name,add or contact no of the person.thanks in adv

your best bet would be to go on forums related to Rx8 and talk to owners yourself and ask them to help you rectify your problem ...

thank u dear. have tried him .didnt find him that competent.took the car to him twice but he could not make head or tail of it,kept on using hit and trail method which i can do myself as i have a workshop of my own.

no the check light is off.all diagnostics are normal.have now asked my cousin to send me iradium ngk spark plugs from states.hope that does the the trick.anyway thanks for taking the time to reply.

secondly frm my side, are there any leaks frm the engine? And by any chance at any time is the exhaust throwing out smoke? Hws the car before 6000 rpm? When was the last time u changd the oil/oil filter? What fuel do u put, hi octane or super? If super then order sme hi octane frm isb and chek it out, cuz super messes up such cars

@drmac: I dont own an rx8 but i own an rx7. Before i say anything, knocking in a rotary is extremely bad news and i sincerely advise you to park the car until you figure this problem out. Someone before me mentioned rx8club.com and i suggest u go there and mention your problem. IMHO your main problem is the petrol you use. Rotarys according to mazda arent supposed to be run on anything less than 91 octane. Its been debated a lot but from my experience with the rx7s ive been in and around running our regular fuel has proved damaging. So first of all id strongly recommend u get a hold of hi octane from somewhere cuz that is supposed to be 91 octane around here. Assuming your plugs and ignition are doing alright I think using hi octane should solve the matter. Bakee just advise on the side about rotarys that be sure to check your oil frequently i cant stress enough about how important oil is a rotary.
