So if you go through OP, you will find that I have never mentioned that I am against the rules or police. Or may be I am better than you in this case as I had been more mature in my teens than you as I never got to play by the rules or even thought of it and stayed focused on my work.

I did read your post keenly and shared my thoughts, but seems you just missed following a loud a clear M2 rule right after getting a ticket... challan is just a luxury fee you pay for not following a rule these days I guess...

For me, I have been seeing the senior members of these forums scratching each others back and berating out of the casts. No wonder these forums are dead.

i don't really know the definition of 'being senior' nor I ever want to be; i still get into brawl with almost all the seniors on these threads and i guess that the beauty of it, and may be that is why I still stay active here to have conflicting opinion with my fellow pakwheelers like you sir.

I have driven cars in Pakistan for more than 3 decades, and have driven in other countries too. I agree that the speed limits in Pakistan seem unrealistic many times, but there's basically nothing we can do about it.

The salt range always is such an example, but keeping in mind the average skill level of our Pakistani driver, that speed limit seems fair. However, I see 95% of people overspeeding there. The 2 tickets in 5 minutes means the motorway police caught you offguard. People know, and so do I, that they sit at a particular point in the salt range. They should change their location occasionally to catch over-speeding vehicles, but they catch so many people just sitting at one point, that their revenue targets are easily met.

My daily commute is through motorways, M2 and M3 both, for more than 3 years and 100km every day. I don't even drive at 120, rather at around 95-115 most frequently 95-105. So I no longer have this knack for driving faster rather than slower while keeping myself in calm state. So these 2 challans within 5 minutes had been a bit of a bummer. Before that I had only received a ticket once only, that too 2 years ago. You are right that I was caught off guard as I don't frequent this area and has only commuted through 3 times before.

I got a speeding ticket once for driving at 50 Km/H in a school zone, which really bummed me out. The school zone sign was positioned in a way that it wasn't visible clearly.

Turned out that many people got tickets at the same place. The authorities took notice of my social media post, and the comments on it, and relocated the sign. This was not in Pakistan BTW.

Also, I forgot to mention ~ I'm 20. enjoy! The current youth is full of clowns who think reckless driving = cool. One of these "cool kids" came into our shop once and tried to educate me that if I didn’t drive recklessly, I wasn’t a REAL car enthusiast ~ lmao. Maybe, I’m not ~ couldn’t care less. I don’t have time for useless sh* ~ I have a family to come back to (ALIVE). Can't afford to d* now, "apni hifazat khud ki jaati hai".

Yes indeed, you are right one should follow the path you are referring too because if any human, or any animal gets in the way it's hard to stop. And then you feel guilty all the time. It's better to stay in rules and regulations.

Whenever I visit gulberg ~ main blvd, people prefer to cross roads via roads ~ Pedestrian bridges haram haay. Speeds are usually high ~ there's a reason the gov made these f* bridges, but nahi yar "marna haay humne". They don't give a f* about their life ~ time pachana is more zaroori, extra walking to reach bridge is haram ~ even if faced with death.

One of my customers said, "Inko jab tak aap gari maar ke nahi bhagoge, tab tak inko akal nhi aaegi" !! And whenever you hit or a accident is caused by these fools, playing real life flappy bird ~ they blame the big guy with the big car & they become professional victims, playing the "hum garib hain" card.

I'm totally against hitting someone with car and saying "ais ko ab akal aye gi". I can't do this ~ what if the other guy di** during the so called "teaching" process. I really don't know, what to do ?!? Now, I'm just use to it ~ "Kabhi bhi kuchh bhi ho sakta hai". I'm really extra careful around gulberg & dha ~ I rarely visit these stupid areas. Dha is just next level, meh!!

Life and property of anyone is sacred even they are not following rules. Although there should be a system to fine such people as well. While we can't do anything in this case but still it is very important to be extra careful on road even for such kind of people so that no life or property is damaged. So, yes, it's on the driver here and patience is important on our roads.

The number of lethal accidents the salt range section has seen over the years gives every reason to the authorities to enforce such speed limits. Cant blame them.

With the 'Diana driving centre' club (no offence) plying on motorways with high beams and with no road sense, we quite frankly should not expect any liberties.
