And bloody hell, I had a similar problem at my place. Changed the geyser instantly, then come to know about the issue. Now using the desi tareeqa of garam balti on a cholha....

@Charter. BTW desi tareeqa is best for energy conservation. I think in Karachi weather, one can take bath with tap water most of the year.

Singer is the best. Buy the golden/mustard paint one with American thermostat. Low on gas and high on hot water. Greatest water heater built in Pakistan using since 2009.
