Got a Ticket on Fancy Number Plates :/

Fancy plate = not using original plates...

don't confuse fancy with a "shadi card"

It is due to the reason that if you use original number plates and if you frequently park your car in such areas where number plates gets stolen then your life becomes miserable when getting duplicate number plates and at the time of selling the car not only it looses value but also interest of buyers so this is the reason which forces me to use a plastic plate otherwise i am a no fan of fancy plates and i have no intention to attract the opposite gender with my fancy plates

i still don't have orginal plates with me as ETO still not issued that series
i got proof on rego copy where no plate not given and its been 2 years using fanciest plates one can dream of
once puled over shown police guys rego book and then let me go,

Bhai y don't u use a copy plates with same font color and shape instead of those stupid fancy ones? Still can't imagine why don't u spend your money wisely on your car's number plates. :D:P

in Islamabad, the accepted pattern is black on white. written simply and readable.

all others are not road legal and subject to be fined

I have white on black and never got any issue in ICT alhumdolellah. A cop told me that it should be readable from quiet some distance and standard font like Arial or TNR should be used. Other fonts esp italics are their target esp when bare sahab is there for snap checking.

Good for you. Waisay I never heard about stolen no. plates although I'm using them for the last 27-28 yrs...yea back in mid 80's Kci no. plates used to be issused motor vehicle authoority and never had any no. plate stolen till now. So don't worry.

for islamabad as my car is kpk registered one should use uk Style white background and Big Black letters
currently using black background and white writing
also in Kpk i used jdm plate on the back bumper

Today while returning from university I got a ticket in front of serena hotel islamabad for fancy number plates, I dont understand the fact as of yet that what is the criteria of fancy number plates?? I have a yeallow background plate with chrome numbers and characters, what's wrong with that? and is there any specified criteria for this thing? or just jo hath lag gaya scene chal raha hai bhai?

I have a car with me in Islamabad, Karachi registered - original plates are safe at home, Plastic plates with Karachi number are on the car, since 2010. Once stopped only on motorway for over speeding at 120 in 80 zone never for the number plate. May it is how we deal with traffic police if & when stopped.

Well dear you are being quite judgemental here because asking about criteria of custom number plates has nothing to do with attitude while being judgemental about someone certainly shows how you keep your attitude. I won't say anything else now because you are quite elder than me and my argument might become dis-respectful which I don't want to be. I just wish that someday you get into the same situation where you face a misbehaving cop and you create a thread the same way as I have to confirm the law and then I will reply with the same words to you.
