Got a Ticket on Fancy Number Plates :/

Alright guys here's an update; I got a ticket for something i have mentioned earlier, i came here to get an update on the criteria/law and to inform others also what's going on as this is the purpose of this forum. and I have changed my plates to originals and i suggest others to do the same, prefer originals over custom ones. And lets not turn my thread into any war zone cause we are a community here, everyone is good, lets be positive, and lets not hit negative comments over each other!! let the thread serve the purpose of learning and not become a war zone. Thanks to everyone.

Every car bhai no matter which ever city. Its better to use originals, if not then should be of the same pattern as of originals or lastly white background with black characters or black background with white characters with 100% visibility and simple fonts is acceptable. Chrome characters or anything a little bling bling is on the hit list Ticket is 300 pkr.

Yes i think your's look ok as there is nothing chromy and the visibility of characters is good too. and your papers must have the stamp of plates not issued so thats ok.

It always surprises me how many people use illegal number plates in Pakistan.
.In my opinion this computerised system is not for Pakistan.If you want to implement this then you have to change the market where stolen number plates shouldn't matter.To be honest at the moment it's just a waste of the money and apparently you can't even get the plates when you register the car.Which is nothing but a big fat joke.What is the point of registering the motor when you can't even give it a identity plates.

Don't use the chrome ones and red or maroon background ones and ur perfectly fine.....I have using other types of plates since 2006 and only for stop once and I had no plates on the.back and the warden told me...plate Kidar hai I said it got stolen he laughed and said jaa chotae banwa lo pir ....

as a nation all cities must have similar pattern just take india for example same style of plates all across india same goes for UK china and even Japan
and here we are every province has different pattern and then comes ICT islamabad
like we are racist even in No plates.

Completely agree, it should be standard size all over the country.But for that you'll need strict rules,control on plate makers which is hard in Pakistan because of corruption.Plat makers and motorists will find a way around.
Saying that stealing number plates is fairly big problem in UK.Theives mostly use it for robberies and petrol theft.But there are strict rules that plate makers have to follow.You can't buy a number plate without providing your original log book and number plates need to have makers name and iirc post code on them otherwise it's illegal.
My bother in law had number plates stolen of his car and those plates were used in a armed robbery few days latter.On the day of robbery he was stopped by 3-4 police cars and bikes,handcuffed and arrested until they confirmed his story from the crime number.

yes in UK i was reading one post about self destruct no plates taken out from the car thy would be not for 2nd use
and in Pak like there are myths for kpk ppl that if isb police sees a kpk no car then it would be impounded and like some what kp is an area of afghanistan some even feel shame to drive around in khi plates or kp plates here agents are taking bribe from pesh ppl to regester their cars from isb like every 2nd car is ict rego its a fashion statement not a need
i drive into isb with a kpk no car never troubled and in isb i seen some get scared of kp plate and like khi no is stoped just for yellow plates what the hell is this we are racists im not saying that uk copy format implemented but all have same scheme
for example for a Peshawar no car plate should be like KP-CA 1234-PR same for sindh SH-AB1234-KR /PU-DR 1234-Rw

It is due to the reason that if you use original number plates and if you frequently park your car in such areas where number plates gets stolen then your life becomes miserable when getting duplicate number plates and at the time of selling the car not only it looses value but also interest of buyers so this is the reason which forces me to use a plastic plate otherwise i am a no fan of fancy plates and i have no intention to attract the opposite gender with my fancy plates

I keep my original number plates in car while I have simple plates with black background and white text put on my car's bumpers.

well. I got warning but I believe their request is legitimate . sometime it is hard to read numbers.
So I just ordered new one with black bg and white writing. Used the same font as ITP using and no one stopped after that.

i Believe its from khi
car is regesterd lahore but some time Khi police also stops any non khi car without yellow plate this guy might have made a khi style no plate of Lahore to avoid getting stopped as till 2006 punjab had no computerized plates
btw if any one visits peshawar i bet on a signal one shoud count ict reg cars and lahore no cars like in 30 cars only 2 will be of pesh rego else 28 will be ict and Lahore regestred
a trend to keep punjab reg cars and esp ict here

Ravi bridge is notorious for this.Police is always standing at toll booths like vultures looking for prey and they find plenty of them.Been lucky so far only because every time I go to Lahore I'm with family and they do respect woman in cars.
Saying that at one point Swan bridge in Rawalpindi was same but last few trips noticed it's not so bad now.

ISB police stopped me several time while exiting isb.. I think they all think we are from different city so we can get something from them. In isb one police guy told me jo apka token laga gai woh fake hai ap nay do nambri ki hui hai and I was like are you out of your mind.. police is same everywhere in Paksitan
