Got email of 114(4) (Notice to file Return?

bro receintly mein ne 1300 se car buy ke hai baleno and mujhe email notice aya hai 114(4) (Notice to file Return of Income for complete year then mein kya karo mein freelancer ho service deta hai foreign company ke liye woh waha se mujhe remitance bhejte hai monthly tu mein kya karo ?

Ignore kardo email ya declare karo ?

all foreign remittances are exempted from tax. You receive the amount in your account after bank charge 2.5% withholding tax. and that is the ONLY TAX you pay. this notice has been sent to ppl who are filer but didn't file this or last year. if u have never filed u can safely ignore it. if u have omce filed in past then u have to file again u cant ignore it

Don't ignore and don't listen to such advice..

Consult a tax specialist.. filing is simple.. you have foreign remittance income so that will likely be tax free anyway.

Got a similar notice from FBR for the year 2018. Simply reply them from your IRIS portal (by clicking the notice and then hit reply button on top left) and state that you are not liable to file income tax since you are working as a freelancer earning through foreign remittance. And earning through remittance is tax free.

I would also advice you to consult a tax lawyer/consultant before replying back. Not every case is same and these are legal matters which should be taken seriously. Other than that, no need to worry

You ARE LIABLE to file tax returns.

Just income is tax free if from IT exports !

Same happened to me,

I am a freelancer too, I purchased a new car few months ago and I got notice same notice from FBR to file Income Tax Returns

I simply hired a guy who did it for me and I had to pay PKR 0 tax

Do not ignore that email, if you do, you may have to pay penalty or there is a chance they will block your bank account aur phir FBR k office dhakkay khany pare gy

You don't have to pay tax, so just file your returns, simple is that, and you will get several benefits if you are filer, you will pay less taxes on purchase of car or land etc, also, you will not be charged for any WHT on bank transactions there maybe other benefits but I am not aware of them
