The A/C of my car needed to get serviced, so i went to Pakistan Car A/C in Rawalpindi...

I found the guys very good and cooperative will suggest you people also to goto them...

i also went to Pakistan car AC last year and had the worst experience eva

Aijaz Khan is the most rude and liar mechanic i hve met in my entire life. Firstly they r very costly bt i wantd to get the AC in perfect condition so i went to him. He charged 6k for changing filter,gas,service and repairing condensor. After 3 days my AC waznt workn so i went to him and he said dat compressor is over and buy a comp from him costing 14k . bt i went to Lhr for buying a real malaysian one and when i bought one and mechanic waz fixn dat new compressor he said dat ur old compressor is alright bt just a little weak.

I took da compressor to another mechanic he also said dat its Ok. Aijaz khan lied to me and when i came back and askd him dat compressor is alright bt gas was leaked he said he has checkd once and gas leakd or compressor ova it is nt his responsilibility, if u hd got done from somewhere else den go away nw.

So buddies seriously dan man is nt cool and i will advice you to go anywhere in rwp/isb bt nt Pakistan Car AC

another thng dat i wantd to tell u abt aijaz khan

when my car wz being servicd at Pakistan car AC, a landcruiser cygnus owner along wid his vehicle came. he said dat there is a gas leakage so check it. Aijaz came to knw dat it is in the pipe or box which is sumwhere in or after dashboard so we hve to open it up.

the owner askd dat if u can do it cleanly as he has already talkd to a party and they will take the vehicle just after monitoring it. Instead Aijaz khan just said dat leave the dashboard as it is wheneva the party will come , just come to me 2-3 hrz earlier i will fill the gas and it will remain dere and give gr8 cooling fo one day:(

they charged me 1500Rs for gas, and 850 the service charges, and 1100 fro the Filter/drier (Breeze)... can some body else compare the prices?

i have also heard alot bad things abt them, they are really big liars .....

and thats very costy .....

here some member named Eddie showd some guyz in g-8 with name universal car ac, i may be wrong with names, they seems preety gud with price and work so far, as recommended by many members, sure i will put my end of experience if i got some work to be done from them .....

bro i went to universal car AC they charge 400 for service

1500 fo gas and 500 fo filter and really co-operative and good nature people

i suggest to everybody to visit them

There is nothing that much a "labour" in servicing AC. Only the gas charging, and that also because the filter chamber releases the gas when opened up for cleaning. So all of this with Gas charging should not cost more than 1000 for a car like Cultus.
Keep your fan wiring excellent (use good relays), never use fresh air option (it just blocks the air filter in our climate) and keep your compressor and its cooling system clean and free of dust. A single time service can last upto 2 years literally. I last got my Cultus's AC seviced back in Feb 08 and its working perfectly uptill now.
For better performance feel, ask your AC man to open only the front panel blower for air (you can do it yourself also, its located handy besides your main front panel).
And yes, keep that heater pipe disconnected, it helps.

And yes, they say bullshit that original french gas can not cost less than 1500 and anyone charging less is using chinese gas variant and filling the gas chamber with low quality gas. This is rubbish, check your cars specs for ACs gas req or check from their own meter how much they filled up. Then find out the prices of the new original gas cylinder of 134a refrigant, and find out the right amount to fill your AC!

i have been gettiong the a/c of my Corolla as well as family's Corolla, Cultus, Honda, Mercedes, Vitz, etc. done from Amir Car A/C in F-10 Markaz since the past six years so you can well imagine my level of satisfaction. his honesty goes as far as snubbing three different technicians' (Ather A/C in F-10, Eastern A/C in Pindi and one more m forgetting) claim of the entire system of my then eleven year old Corolla changed costing Rs. 19/20000. this gentleman took three hours, did some work on it and charged me Rs. 3450 including labour.

by the way, Mr. Amir charges Rs. 2000 for servicing which of course includes gas charges.

Just to let you know there are 2 kinds of A/C gas. One is RJ 102 and the other is RJ 103. Something like that. The 103 one is the ozone friendly one which is actually for new cars. Prices are: RJ 102=1000 RJ 103=1200 For service, at most they charge 1000rs. I live in Karachi.

Ken, the gas mentioned for Cultus is "R134a"....
