You do know that a christian woman had faced execution on a blasphemy charge which was later found to be false and put up because of family fueds.Also do you know that a highly respected physician in hyderabad faced blasphemy charges put up by a pharmacuetical representative who got in a scuffle with him because the physician threw the representative's card in the trash and the card had muhammad written on it,which the physician was unaware of.Thankfully the doctor was fortunate enough to be acquited.

No doubt he did offend Prophet (SAW), bt we shud not forget that a free and fiar judicial system exists in Pakistan,.. and whoever offend Prophet SAW and breaks the law should be punished accordingly.... No one has the right to take the law into their own hands and whoever says Islam allows assassinations like this is very wrong......

I support the arrest and fair trial of the person if he insulted the Holy Prophet(P.B.U.H).It's in our legal system to award capital punishment to those who insult the Prophet(P.B.U.H),but the assassin was no one to carry out the law.He should have been punished according to the law.

Oh yes thats my mistake.They dont go on everyday but they are quite common and happen often in rural areas.I got carried away with the everyday statement.

I think he didn't offend or did blasphemy ( i mean is there any interview of Salman Taseer ?) He just opposed blasphemy law !!

Apart from that killer didn't had any right to kill. Our law should be good enough.

But lets not turn this topic into a debate.Lets just offer condolences for the deceased and his family.I don't believe Islam can order the assassination of someone without a valid reason.It is a religion of peace.What people don't get in their thick heads is that he never insulted the Prophet(P.B.U.H).

I emphasized on the fact that when there is a judicial system available one should go according to that, instead of taking the law into ones own hands.

If he did commit blasphemy (there is probably no solid proof as of yet) then there should have been a court and trial in the way Islam says.... he should have been crucified by specifically means... What happened today was done in a very jahil, unproper and sorry to say the worst possible way..

Everything has a way of being properly done. What happened today is wrong by all means.
This is as far as my knowledge goes. Please don't get offended by my perceptions.
