Yes if and only if you maintain it well for once. They don't need frequent maintenance. Like get a suspension work done for once and forget about the suspension for half a decade or so. They withstand alot of beating which normal sedans can't.
And engine work and transmission work and differential work if done well, it also doesn't pops up so soon. Infact 5-6 years or even more if done well.
The only con is they don't give more than 7-10kmpl local and 12-14kmpl long which is not bad either.
Go cross the tunnels fill of rain water without a issue or a snowfall or some desert. They do it like a charm. And going on off road adventures it becomes so convenient.
Like I went to skardu last year on my Bj41.
It only took 40-45k of diesel total trip from isb-skardu to astore and back to isb. And if I go by car I've to hire jeeps from skardu. They charge around 20-30k rupees only for sheosar lake. And then normal sedan costs around 30-40k of fuel offset too. So a trip of 70-90k on car fuel and jeep expenses if you go by your 4x4, you save alot of money. So very convenient
