Yaar I saw a TV documentary on a local channel in which a car jacker was asked to show his skills. The person jacked the car + disabled and threw away the tracker in 90 seconds if I remember correctly. They have many ways to cheat the tracker, their thinking starts from where the thinking of the company ends.
Let us see at the end result. Very few tracker cars are recovered after being stolen. I think the figure quoted in the documentary was 18%.
One should focus on preventive measures rather than cures....Go through many threads in pakwheels on good quality steering locks, steering column locks, gear+handbreak locks and many other types. One should put enough hurdles in the way that car jacker decides to leave the car and focus some where else.
