I think it shd be a show much safer and a lot more people would come to check out the cars. I have had this idea for a while now, we have a show car owners pay a small amount to get into the event as to cover our costs or we could charge the visitors a small amount. You then invite everyone cars bikes. You could also set up a sound system challenge and have a panel of judges to decide which one is the best.

Actually, there might be an official Pakwheels car show in April. So, I can't say anything on arranging a car show when there is already one in the making.

Need some suggestions on the GTG's venue, how about the BBQ Tonight's parking area? We can have a GTG + dinner.

I am subscribing to this thread . Never had been to any PW gtg . whatever works out I am in but I dont have a 'show-shaa' waali car which can by any standards be suitable for an auto-show

Phase VIII would become too far-out for the members living out of the Clifton/Defence locality. We were initially thinking of an mid-way venue.

That local car assembler car show? I would not suggest that, Pakwheels GTG is something else. We have variety, they don't.

Highway is a good option like Sajjad Restaurant or Al Habib Restaurant...Plenty of parking space plus An afternoon meet on a holiday would be ideal.. as its cold and in night especially i wont be able to check my fellow member rides (H) Weak eyesight.... my 2 cents...

Your turn out will be really low, a few people would ne hesitant abt brining their car their due to safety and road conditions. I would not bring my rx8 on those roads for sure.

i really think we should just plan a car show and that will automatically turn into a pakwheels gtg.

Yup, the Autocross venue won't seem suitable.

The highway will be too far for everyone and plus with the current unstable situation of our city it does not seem feasible. Yes, the Sajjad/Kolachi restaurant area will serve as a nice venue.

What roads are you talking about? If we plan this GTG at least a week before hand, a decent number of Karachi members will turn up for sure.

Not to be rude or anything, but a GTG at the Expo Center does not make sense. If it had been a restaurant/park with a properly covered parking area it would have make some sense.
