Grande Brake oil low and brake disk pads issue

I just purchased grande 23 model , only 26k driven, but when I checked with toyota workshop , they said brake oil is very low and disk pads are only 30%. need to change disk pads and full brake oil. I could not understand with only 26k on oddo how can brake oil finish and disk pads need replacement ?? Pls suggest me reason

Have you actually seen the brake pads and measured them? I have a car with 50,000km on it. Last time I went to the dealer for a service, they said it needed brake pads. While still at the dealer, I pulled out the owners manual and looked at the pad replacement limit. It said 2mm. So means that that if the pads are at 2mm thickness they need to be replaced. Sure my pads were worn about 50% gone but no where near the wear limit. I told them to leave them alone for now.

Anyhow, this does not explain the low brake oil level on your car. I'd suggest to go about this in a more scientific way, measure the pad thickness and go from there. While you are there, look to see if the brake pistons are not seized. Meaning that once you apply the brake, do the pistons return back after letting go of the pedal. Stuck pistons will cause your pads to remain in contact with the disc even after you let go the brake causing accelerated wear.

Actually i have done brake service from 3s Toyota workshop, but brake is not improved, they just cleaned the pads with sandpaper and reinstall it. but braking is not improved. Now what to do, i think i need to replace pads now, as brake is engaged when i apply it to 80% extent. otherwise on light force brake is not applied ? while thickness is not much less 3mm . just surface was little shiny.

At 3mm, I am afraid they need to be replaced. New brake pads will not improve your stopping distances assuming that you are replacing the old ones with the same brand of pad. The friction material is uniform throughout the thickness of the pad.

Do you mean that as you press the pedal nothing happens until the pedal is down 80% of the way? If yes, then this is pretty unsafe!! long brake pedal travel usually indicates there is air in the system or if you had drum brakes, the friction material on the brake shoes is worn and needs adjustment. In the old days when cars had drum brakes, drivers used to pump the pedal to build up pressure in the brake system . You could try pumping the pedal. It will only confirm air in the system. As part of the pad replacement job, make sure they bleed the system.

All this leads us to the question as to why a car with just 26,000km needs new pads? I have no answer except to agree with @hash4u.

Even in start stop traffic, 26K driven brake pads dont warrant a replacement in any case. Look for rear brake pads condition, steering wheel scratches and cuts, Seat leather wear, brake padal rubber wear, spark plugs condition, front and rear rotor thickness, tyres rubber wear and scratches / screw driver marks on cluster / meter housing to ascertain reverse metering issue.

Also check maintenance record, if any, with Toyota 3s.

Check manufacturing data on Yokohama A-drive tyres, to see whether they coincide with the manufacturing date of vehicle. Recently replaced kabli, used or chinese tyres is also an indication of reverse metering.

I have to press brakes fully to stop car, on light press of brake padel, it did not works to stop car properly.
i am going to reinspect car with Toyota 3s, let us see what they do this time. Brake oil level is touching lower level.

I went to 3s yesterday again, their called sr technician take long test drive of car and in the end said, sir all is okay, there is no brake issue. then they try me with another grande drive which they installed new brake pads at 40k driven. What i feel that grande brake level is different to Honda and Yaris which i have earlier. Grande brake dont have instant jerk type brake, it needs little hard foot pressure on paddel to take impact. while in Honda city/civic and Yaris have immediate response even little press of paddle.
another grande i drove at 3s also was not having instant braking like i was expecting Yaris or honda type.
may be im using first time Corolla grande making me feel brake is less.
They said to me drive car more 10-15k then replace pads.
but another thing im feeling rattling sound from doors and specially passanger seats vibrates when vacant. this is really critical issue. sounds comes from dash board and doors when drive on little bumpy roads and seats also vibrates. this is really irritating and patahtic with car worh of 8.2m on road price.

Dont compare Grande'e brake with Civic bro. Honda's brakes are indeed more responsive and instill confidence.

@sarmadraheem is right. Being a long time Honda owner with a bit of experience traveling in Corolla seated in the passenger seat, I can say that Honda build quality is better than Corolla. I hope I have not offended Corolla lovers but too many Corollas I have driven in have rattles in the cabin. Cant say anything about the brake feel as I have not personally driven a Corolla. Last Corolla I drove was my father's 1977 in 1979

However I have owned a 1997 City, 2007 Civic and 2017 Civic. All zero meter and solid cabin.
