Filters can't do much unless you change the exhaust as well. It's better to keep it stock, it's a family sedan with a CVT transmission designed to get you from point A to B, I'd advise you to not go Vin Diesel on it. If you decide to take this path, you'll need to replace major suspension components too so that Corolla's famous bodyroll could be tamed and if you want to go fast you need to stop fast aswell, so an upgraded braking system aswell. If you just want to go fast in a straight line (like "racers" do here) then suspension can be neglected. It's not an easy path, I'd advise you to spend your money elsewhere.

Maybe you can do that, as for performance mods, trust me your ride will get uncomfortable and will be more prone to faults, so it's better to avoid them in this car and later when you have time maybe get a 95 or 98 civic as a project car.

Before you go the turbo route make sure you dont fry that cute CVT.

Body kits on Corolla never look good. Dont know why, but the last corolla that looked good when modified was the 8th gen (indus).
All the others after that look riced.

Just drop it down to a Car height and put some nice wheels on....better then body kits.
