Absolutely, the car has been thoroughly abused and that I came to know when I got it.
The throttle body had heaps of dirt, it had never been tuned
Both clutch cylinders were half functional, which means the clutch went bad because it was driven on bad cylinders. This might be the reason the gearbox got damaged.
The radiator was literally bent but the usual statement, 'kahin nai lagi hai, total original hai' coming from a seemingly educated and well to do person was taken rather seriously, which was a mistake.
Needless to say the gear oil was not even supposed to have been changed.
It cost me 10k for the radiator, 27k for the whole clutch replacement drama which is another story to begin with. Tuning etc 7k and other misc expense of 3k and the gearbox is whining, scratches and bumper fixing is remaining and pulleys noise nobody has been able to figure out.
The gearbox whine was almost 90% gone but it sounded bad again today. So I don't think there's any option but to replace it or drive it as it is, which is not very comfortable.
