Green Line BRT, Karachi inaugurated after more than 5 years

The Green Line is a bus rapid transit line under construction in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan since February 2016. The 21 km (13.0 mi) busway is the first phase of the Karachi Metrobus network and will have 22 stations (A station after every km). The greenline will have a fleet of 80 buses operated by Daewoo. It was expected to be functional by November 2021. So far, 40 Buses from China for the project have reached at the Karachi Port.
The most important aspect is the buses are bought from Foton Motors, China and they are hybrid diesel buses.

Ahhhhh! Finally! started my engineering career from this project. I still remember all those sleepless nights from 2016-17 and those 5am traffic surveys. If the operational planning is implemented as proposed it will be a great project with little to no subsidy from govt.

it is just f&^kshit non-sense, the shameless IK & his cronies failed to mention NS for starting the project. They must have slashed the ribbon at terminal, in reality no single loaded bus was sent away for a test round trip to check the elevated track integrity.

nothing as such is operational i purposely went to the Numaish station with 8 kids at 10 am 12.12.2021,
to actually give them a bus experience for a round trip, the stations are closed. The guards are not sure when will it be open for actual public.

How they will test without passengers and that too for 15 days?
Because they said formal operation will start from 25 December
And they will ramp up the operation to full capacity in 2 weeks that's mean January's First week

Another pathetic show by this idiot government by hijacking a project which was gonna completed if this govt didnt took over. yet blaming the old govt for not completing while enjoying and doing nothing in their own tenure.

lets hope this project doesnt becomes the Peshaer BRT project becuase it is useless if it doesnt reaches the end point where it was designed to reach.

Yesterday (Monday 10th Jan 2022) was the first day of the full operation of Green Line and I think it was well managed. As I traveled around 9:40 PM, it was fulky functional. I traveled from Naumaish to Jummah Bazzar Stop (Sakhi Hasan) and it took only 23 minutes precious.
My first experience was impressive. At every point, there was a helper, even when entering the bus and at ticket scanning.
Secondly, because these buses are Diesel Hybrid when the engine is not running mostly leaving the stations the smooth effect it gives is awesome.
Issues:
The screen in the bus showing stops was showing previous stop. Not the stop it reaches whereas the announcement was of correct stop.
The stops weren't having functional escalators and lifts. Don't know maybe because end of operation as only 20 minutes were left in 10:00 PM.
