Grrr Sound when hard apply brake

AOA all,

Bought Honda City 1.5 Prosmetic two months back and drove only 3200 KM.

Today while driving on very low speed like 20-30 I softly applied brakes on a signal and it starts appearing Grrr sound and brake didn't work at all. Thanks got it didn't hit the Grande just in front of me.

Already called related dealership showroom is closed due to COVID Penedim.

So is there anyone who could guide me about this situation. please.

Maybe the road was slippery and Abs was applied right away, just drive for like 10-15 minutes and then tell if it’s working fine or not.

P.S: That “Grrrrr” Sound was of ABS.

Road was not slippery but I tested it 4-5 times or even more after the incident with interval of few hours. But the situation is same.

Grrr sound is of ABS. Can you suggest any solution? You know how helpful are our after sale services here in Pakistan

When did you service your city's brakes last time?

In a car equipped with ABS Braking system, when you apply sudden and hard braking, you might hear this noise, however, I think, speed must be reasonable, and not slow.

For 20-30 speed, I do not think ABS engages, especially when car is being gently slowed down, as you have already yourself mentioned.

To me, it seems that issue is with other parts of braking system and not the ABS alone. ABS is fine and not the culprit.

Please get your brakes thoroughly checked from some good garage; the brakes fluid, brakes pads, brakes discs / rotors and other things.

Its extremely important and urgent. Do not risk yourself, others, and your car.

and the other thing. car did nt stop properly. secondly t the speed of 20 or 30km/hr as basit bhai said. ABS never actives.

I propose he shouldn't drive the car at all, let alone drive the car at high speed for checking ABS.

The brake system is not working fine which is an extremely serious risk and safety hazard.

The car may be parked and only taken out while going to the mechanic / garage, and driving at dead slow speeds.

I fear, Brakes Khuda Na Khawasta Jawab dey sakti hain.

Never, it is brand new car brother. Just 3k KM driven

Speed was around 20-40 not more than that. I tried then few more time and same happen.

It is in Lahore. I am not sure ur will cover kn warranty. I drove only 3k. Even first oil not changed.

I do drive very very gently and in slow speed.

Okay may be something like that. Due to lock down cant visit Honda service center.

Sometimes ABS engages because the car doesnt find enough grip due to not so good tyres aswell.Ur car is basically brand new and doesnt need new tyres but in a long run better tyres definitely would help aswell as the eurostars that come stock are no good

Thank you. Called to Honda Township but the man on call was not cooperative. Then called to Honda Gateway and he was kind enough suggested do visit us and don't worry. You car is under warranty and we will fix it no issue. Just bring your warranty book with you.

I read the post thre and replied him here thinking its the same query. My appologies. I thought the brakes are making a weird sound and are lagging thats it but after reading the story above, i am wondering how be brought the car back home
