Gs 150 Carb

Hi guys i have a GS 150 and i want to adjust my bike's carb to slightly increase fuel and air mixture
When i asked the mechanic he told me that such carb cannot be adjusted
Gs150 owners plz tell me where the adjustment screw is located
I have tried several times but could not find it
there is only one screw and that is for draining petrol from the carb

what is the model of carb ? is it mikuni ?

any specific reason to increase fuel ?
by increasing "fuel and air mixture" what exactly u mean ? u want more fuel to given air ? or less fuel to given air ?

the carb only lets u adjust the ratio of air/fuel.. it doesnt increase the volume of the mixture beign fed into engine.. for that u would have to install a carb with big venturi. and that will need to be re adjusted according to your bike. and then u will get more top speed but low bottom end torque..

Its a mikuni bs26. The bike is backfiring while slowing down from 60kph or so and it wont go above 95kph.
It used to go above 120. My guess is that the bike is running lean and I cant the mixture screw.

Mixer screw In GS 125/150 is covered with Rubber Cap so u have to remove Rubber/plastic cap to play with mixer.

Stock mixture settings are for zero clocked engines with no wear and tear or loss of compression on them. I don't see how it could benefit someone with a used engine. A 10,000km engine will need a different blended mixture of air and gas to run ideally, while a 40,000km engine would need another set of different settings to perform acceptably. It all comes down to your ability to listen and understand what the engine is trying to tell you while it purrs on all the given engine rpm ranges.

also yamaha fz16 contains this carb.. search for bikes using this carb and download their manuals. they will certainly give u a good start..
