Salaam everyone.I have a kawasaki gto 110.Last week was doing about 120 km/h when suddenly its rear tire jammed.I was lucky that bike did not slip and i managed to control it.When i took it to the mechanic he told me that crank has broken. So i had it replaced.Yesterday same thing happened to me again this time i was trying to reach its top speed when its crank broke again.i wasn't so lucky this time got 3 stitches on my leg . So my question is what is causing the crack to break and can it be the size of the piston cuz its 0f 100 size ?
itni purani bike say kya nikalna hay yaar,,,70,80 pr chalao isko,,kion peechay paray ho apni jaan kay
brother sad to hear about the incident,, get well soon, by the way ask the mechanic to check for the reason,, sort it out ,, 2 wheels give no second chance,, make urself fully satisfied and then ride again;)
@asjdsmBrother i'm fed up of these desi mechanics.Ye log sara kaam andazay se kartay hein in k pas knowledge nai hota.I'm thinking about a total engine overhaul.Anyway's thank's for the advice will keep it in mind next time i try something
@raania01I love these bikes yaar in ko chalanay k baad 4 stroke chalanay ka dill he nai karta.
iss lia ma two stroke nai chalatha,, hahha
Wat did u mean by Crank broke ? R u refering to connecting rod failure ? if yes than u wud have done almost complete over haulin last week after the 1st incidence & in that case u shud be in running period of ur bikes engine & not to rev it high in top gear. Type of Piston & cylinder (Genuine, local etc) also matters alot & a comprmised engine cant perform at its peak. which seesm to be case with ur bike.
@ImranbhattiBy by broken crank i mean the whole crank broke i mean connecting rod was intact but there are two pieces of metal sticking out from both sides of crank. This time one of them broke.
r u sure that the material isof good quality? can u tell what iis the weight of this and original? most probably there was an imballance which resulted in its rupture,,also was the cylinder honed/bored ? and was it bored properly meaning that it is making a perfect circle/ chechg it with a screw gauge ,, it could be the problem..improper/insufficient lubrication can also cause it
yes i think the piston can be the cauze,, is it longer the the stock size?
@asjdsmYup the person i bought it from was into racing and stuff and god know's what he did to this bike.Today i bought a new engine for this bike from auto race commitee chowk rawalpindi with a working power valve system. My mechanic say's with proper tuning it can easily reach 190 km/h.But my main concern is that will bike be stable at such high speeds.Hopefully someone can advice me on this.
dear i have no experience of such a high speed rides .. however on a machine that wasn't ,made to take such a huge speeds would certainly be unstable unless it is modified and Proved to be stable,,
@asjdsmToday i finally got the new engine installed on my bike (the one with power valve system).I dnt know how it works but feels just like a turbo kickin in.I'm completing its run right know but i managed to reach 140 km/h in the start of 4th gear. And surprisingly bike was stable with a 90/90-18 tire of service.
konsa engine dala hai janab model cc?
Bhai kisi old bike ka engine hai rs 125 i think
yamaha or kawasaki?
Aprilia is the brand that makes rs 125 a 125cc race bike. The engine i got was of a 90's model bike.Needed a lil work (as rs 125 engine needs to be re built every 10k miles).
so it is liquid cooled rotax engine?
share the pictures of engine and how it cost?
