I would suggest you to stay in G-9. There are many good hotels there, suitable for stay with family.

There are a lot of hotels near Khadda market in G-7 Markaz. Economical and decent. I have stayed a couple of times at Hotel Al-Ikram with and without family. Except for their room service expecting you to tip them for even asking for the smallest thing, it's all good.

Tip: Make sure you get a room with window, some of their rooms don't have it and ventilation could be an issue even with AC.

You may also try booking.com mobile app, quite popular these days. I've been using this app for some time now and often found reasonable hotels on economical rates.
