I know what version it is..
I had a customer with that once, it had hot start issues - the reason was a sticking timing advance piston solenoid in the pump - usual RD28TE problem, nissan have a cure for it. Its an updated part no for the solenoid - and takes 2 hours to remove and install.
That fault makes the engine feel like it has no compression and is incredibly hard to start, as it rotates the cam plate in the pump to extreme advance when hot, with the pump on start (max fuel) position the situation only gets worse, The person who owned this certain SUV that I fixed had got estimates of head overhaul etc, while infact that little part from solved it completely. Instant start, good power, no smoke and cool running.
