If in case it's an old banger having all sorts of juggars done to it then kitaabi batein is obviously not the way to go.
Problem with old banged up 4x4 is they will always end up at workshop. If it's a clean one it rarely done that

Hmmm I think having an OEM "orignal equipment manufacturer" car can be found in a showcase especially, after 30 years!!!. Even a Suzuki like brands who made vehicales here for several decades even they after 10 years start telling you 7 out of 10 parts available.. baqi aap bahir open market se le aein.

Try to understand and see between the lines, there are lots of maintained, well kept oem vehicles around, just need to be in the correct circle to source them.

Yes very right the plans which I have now; for sure will not be doing any crazy stuff like beating it on hard rocks or having a bath in a river just for testing snorkel is fitted there... may be it takes little more time to reach it.

On othere side at Islamabad excise is showing worst scnario. A fish market...They are also not giving you absolutely no details without bringing book. I mean for Godsake this should be simply online.

Dear Zeeshan, With so many threads out there recommending buy this buy that, you still asking for recommendations will make things even more complicated for you (as im going to in the end of the reply). The model years you mentioned, must have taken a lot of beating already with poor fuel, 2# spares, and vigorous driving habits. Not to mention, poor roads. So, forget the notion k 'ek paisa bhi kharch na karen, just buy and drive', as it is a myth.

Choosing 4x4 brings in few factors. You're actual use, parking in your home, and outside in shopping areas, how much you could afford in maintaining and driving the vehicle (given steep fuel prices). The spares available in the city you live.

Having said all that, i would recommend you consider a manual Suzuki Jimny/Sierra 1300cc to begin with. There are places this vehicle can go. and, it is quite easy on the pocket too. Spares readily available everywhere, as are mechanics.

Alhamdulillah acquired my life time dream. Until now 35KM driven. Allah is very kind. After all night heavy moonsoon rainfall it was a pleasent day to drive. I am so glad... the ride is so far prooving a head turner. More over i notice that I am being given extra way... hahahah... Audi and Benz gave me space to take turns otherwise such cars seldom bother.

For a precaution dont wanted the niddle drop from E level. So filling the half tank. For newbies who might be planning to buy same vehicales...please note its tank is 90L and with diesel rate Rs. 133/liter you will need almost 12000 Rupees to topup.

So far one very annoying thing is that those extra gadges meter's power lines are so loose they keep getting on/off or changing colors. I am 5.6 and I am finding seat very low I certainly need to increase hight. I will soon list those 6 meters details. And will reserch that their sensors are perfectly installed so their existence in the car is meaningful.

I will for sure need help in this regard.

I remained parked it for around 20 hours..on flat parking and was expecting any spots under it.

Oil level I found as below. According to previous owner he was using: Mobil Delvec MX and it was changed in July.

Slightly above F mark or I can say letter F is covered.

Is this color normal? Is that Mil Delvec MX is good choice. What are the rcommendations??
