Guidance for road trip on Alto 660cc

Assalam o Alaikum,

I and my wife are planning a two week trip to northern areas Naran, and Hunza.

We are planning a lot of stops as I will be the only driver, but what is most concerning for me is the drive in the northern areas (never driven there) and the comfort of Alto 660. Any guide or recommendations will be highly appreciated. We of course are planning it in a lot of detail.

you are okay to take it on regular routes but offcourse expect power and comfort considering the 660cc, so you will need to be more patience and careful..

The only problem with going on a northern tour on an Alto is that if you love your vehicle you keep it under 90 km/h if you don't for a long period of time you abuse its engine.

You can do it once but you would not want to do it again.

I went on my Alto last year and that is the only complaint I have.

Another important thing given the vehicle is very light, hold your steering firmly when a coach/bus/vehicle overtakes you, your vehicle would feel like it is losing its grip and someone is pushing you to the other side of the road.

A well maintain 660 cc car can do it. Keep 100km per hour speed. I did it on my Daihatsu MOVE 2019 in 2022 March(on AC through out the journey) from Karachi-Multan ( one day rest at hotel with 12 hours drive and few stop for washroom, prayer and rest) then
Multan to Pindi (one day rest) then
Pindi to Swat
travel in day only as per my plan.

Take my note, if you are travel for fun then enjoy it. You will face a little awkward within Hyderabad to Multan. But you can add a stop between these cities. Like Bahalwalpur which has a rich history

Before a month keep brake service, Tyres should be good, AC must be good, keep shades for window so AC works well. But make sure the black shared should not hurdle while your drive in day. Recently I came across a nano sheet which is transparent and help to take away heat pass through the car glasses. I wish I will try that as well in future
