Guidance needed for issuing duplicate Running portion of motor bike

I lost my bike's running portion today when i was out...i have the original book with me at home, and now dont know what my course of action should be..

i live in karachi and the bike is registered in my brothers name (who isnt in town at the moment...) i lodged an FIR, the policeman cut the kachi parchi (i.e wrote the narration on a plain a4 size sheet and stamped it and gave me...he only wrote the bikes registration number, color and make on the fir since i did not know the chassis number and engine number of the bike as i did not have the bike with me...)

now what should i do? what is the procedure to get the duplicate running portion..what documents would i need, and what problems could i face...is it easily done?

i have one more question, will the excise department issue me only the running portion duplicate or the whole registration book would be issued duplicate?

please help...

Bike is with you and your brother is owner. Your brother is out of town you have the physical regn book & bike under your B^ TT but you do not know the engine & chassis number.

• incase you are telling truth -

make color copy of 1st 2 pages of the book get it attested from magistarte from out side court (rs. 200) and use bike. running portion will be required to complete the regn book only when selling.

okay, let me make myself clear..

it is a family motorbike...so we have one bike which my brother and i use...my brother is out of town since years, so i have been using the motorbike...
at the time of the incident, i had gone to meet some relatives in the city...and i did not go on my motorcycle...so when i went for cutting the fir, i did not know the bikes engine/chassis number as i didnt remember it and couldnt see and tell the police wala as my bike was not with me...and obviously the original book was at home..
