Guidance required for tour to Naran kaghan and Gilgit

Me and my friends are planning to visit northern areas in july(2015) but aren't able to figure out where to go either Naran kaghan or Gilgit side.

We are 7 in total from lhr.
Have 12000 max by each person.
want to spend atleast 7-8 days.

Don't know which place is better and will be in good in our case, because we want to get maximum adventure and enjoyment in these much money and spent these much days.

If any one can guide us please tell us the places of both of these regions and amount required for those.Thank You.

With this budget you can easily plan Gilgit/Skardu. Forget Naran and move ahead. See the untouched beauty of Pakistan in valleys around Skardu, Astore, Gilgit, Hunza etc.

As you have 8 days my choice will be Naran to Fairy Meadows. Fairy Meadows will be adventurous for you if not visited already. You can go Fairy Meadows through Babusar-chillas road if not landslided. Otherwise come back to Mansehra and take Besham route.

Other good options may be:

Gilgit and Fairy Meadows
Neelum Valley and then from Muzaffarabad to Abbottabad to Mansehra to Naran

it depends if you are travel lover or more interested in sight seeing/Tracking.

As you have 8 days my choice will be Naran to Fairy Meadows. Fairy Meadows will be adventurous for you if not visited already. You can go Fairy Meadows through Babusar-chillas road if not landslided. Otherwise come back to Mansehra and take Besham route.

Medium will be local transport, we are interested in trekking and camping.

Then you should consider Gilgit - Fairy Meadows. Drop Naran. Well regarding expenses on local transport, no idea as I have never been at this side.

Meanwhile spend time on pakwheels and search n read threads which closely meet your intended visit. You can search Gilgit and Fairy Meadows separately. People may not be able to reply your this particular thread but it is very easy to read their experience.

We visited Fairy meadows, Astore, Rama, Deosai, Gilgit, Hunza, Atabad Lake in cultus last year and it cost us 15k per head. We stayed at good hotels all through. Considering your budget, i think 12k would be enough for Fairy Meadows + Gilgit/Naltar/Hunza.

Would u mind if I ask, how were the roads all the way from Lhr to Gilgit? Will a corolla/civic/Suzuki be able to do this trip very safely or u require some skills on the way? Keep in mind im only asking about lhr to gilgit. and maybe perhaps Skardu if it is doable. Any advice on this appreciated.
