acoustic would be the best choice for beginners. Or you can also get electric acoustic. Local guitar would cost you between 3000-3500rs. You can purchase a good electric acoustic guitar for 4500-5500rs.

For shops. There are 2 shops right infront of alfatah store in gulberg. One in dha H block market.

Thats all i know.

you got ripped off bhai acoustic starts from $50 and acha say acha $100 tak a jata hey. bhai $250 to pro use kertey hain :S

bhai jee I got DVD for staters too....case in its a good qulaity, I did not buy from Toys R Us bought it from Guitar World

one shop is opposite panaroma center in saddar karachi
and the other shop i know about is on the left side after you cross 3 talwar ghoing towards do talwar

you can easily get an acoustic guitar for Rs. 1600-1800..
in karachi..
you will find one on the main Tariq Road..
dont know any exact location.. but the price is confirmed..
it would be best for the begginers..

I got a few places to recommend in Karachi and Islamabad..

Karachi: Demo Music store - next to Uzma shopping centre.

Islamabad: Either that place in Jinnah super, above those Jewellery shops, or there's another NICE place in F-8, owned by some drummer guy.
