KARACHI: Third Vision Gwadar Rally would be held in second week of August, which is expected to attract motorcyclist and jeepers from across the country, organisers said on Thursday.
“Two rallies of different categories have been planned from August 12 to August 14, 2006 along the Ormara Beach,” said Ahmed Iqbal Baloch, Chief Organiser Vision Gwadar Rally flanked by Owais Jaan told a press conference. Brig Firzoq Ataullah, Director General Pakistan Coast Guards and Amir Ishaq Soharwardi, Director Vision Gwadar Rally were also present at the conference.
He said first rally, due on August 12, had been designed for motorcyclists, who would chase 100-kilometre track in the race.
“On August 13 night, musical show and fireworks have been planned in connection with August 14 celebrations,” he said. The chief organiser said on August 14 a jeep rally would be organised, in which the racer would run for 200-kilometre track along with Ormara beach. He said funds, generated through the events, would be offered to Haji Muhammad Iqbal Baloch Foundation, an NGO for education purposes.
