Hi guys! I have civic with a H22 type S engine swap. The car is putting out a considerable amount of white smoke even at around 2k rpm. The car was running fine before and I think the problem started when I adjusted the fpr to run on factory pressure settings. What I had forgotten was that the car was neptuned and the fuel pressure requirements would have changed accordingly. Anyways long story short, I ran like that for a month and now it is smoking like crazy. Can anyone tell me of a mechanic or a shop that can diagnose the engine properly without suggesting a complete rebuild of the engine. I don't want to go to a mechanic that suggests a complete overhaul which results in breaking my bank when there is a possibility of a simpler and cheaper solution with a proper diagnosis. Thank you!
Which color smoke? Is it black or blue?
Which city are you from?
Aah!
The classic worn out rings of the H22 honda.
Job is easy, except the honing attachment to clean the cylinders might give you heart attack - and I dont think machine shops in Pakistan have that tooling.
White smoke with a hint of blue if I am not mistaken. Seems like engine oil is burning for sure!
From Karachi bro!
Dear Xulfi bhai! Nice to see a reply from such a senior member. What do you suppose should be the plan of action for me considering the workmanship here in Karachi and the availability of the tools?
Would really appreciate if someone could help me out with my question
Still waiting for people to help!
