that is not wise, you need ONE large system with proper ductwork to handle air rather than multiple A/C units, it will greatly reduce your power bill.

60,000 btu + 48,000 BTU - totalling 108,000 BTU, what is the sq ft area of your houseplan? My aunt in Karachi did a similar goofup and then had me sort out installing two A/C rigs for the house, one for the upper floor and one for the lower, the ductwork needed some false celings though.
If you have carved ceilings you can opt for split units that have one condenser handle multiple evaporator units. It also saves a good amount of energy.
