Haier AC vs orient AC

Anybody know which one of them use Mitsubishi compressor?
And which brand is better overall in terms of quality and after sale service?

haier use the mitsubishi compressor ..performance wise haier is better than orient though the build quality is same for both means good ...but cooling is better in haier because of compressor hence the higher price ... orient is good too for it's price ....

Installed a Haier two years back and it has been performing really good, orient also is an ok brand but Haier is a bit bitter as per most people.

I don't understand when someone says "cooling is better" what it really means? Because cooling is cooling and when thermostat temp is reached then compressor get turned off in all ACs.

it's simple bro .... like u said cooling is cooling and when thermostat temp is reached then compressor get turned off in all ACs ....but it's the TIME taken during cooling to desired temp. which defines the quality ...how much time it takes to cool down a room ...a better unit would throw chilled air and take very less time in bringing down the temperature and trip quickly ...hence less load on meter and more user comfort ...on the other hand ...a shity chinese unit can run all day along with average or below average cool air without tripping cause it can never take down the temperature of the room to desired level or can take a very long time ..hence more load on meter and next to none user comfort ...and if the outside temperature is higher than usual than forget about that average cooling too ...

while purchased any AC .plz chked the installing kit(installing pipes) .now a dayz installing kit have a bigger fraud .they given pipe that is silver in the middle and ends are copper and golden colour insulation type cover on the top of this silver pipe plz chk kit pipe made of copper instead of silver

Bro we have more than 10 1.5 tons Orients A/C installed at our 02 homes and 4 2.0 Tons.... and they are doing very good from last 2.5 years...... dont have any experience abt Haier!

that is not wise, you need ONE large system with proper ductwork to handle air rather than multiple A/C units, it will greatly reduce your power bill.

right now If I split them in half I see

60,000 btu + 48,000 BTU - totalling 108,000 BTU, what is the sq ft area of your houseplan? My aunt in Karachi did a similar goofup and then had me sort out installing two A/C rigs for the house, one for the upper floor and one for the lower, the ductwork needed some false celings though.

If you have carved ceilings you can opt for split units that have one condenser handle multiple evaporator units. It also saves a good amount of energy.

We have 1 Kanal House at one side (Tripple Story) 3 (1.5 Tons) A/Cs on the ground Floor, 2 (2.0 Tons), Then 2 (1.5 Tons) and 1 (2 Tons) on the First Floor and then 1 (1.5 Ton) on the 2nd Floor....

and then big garden in between and then again one house on other side with similar fittings of A/Cs....

but normal use is 5 A/C,s getting used in both the house during the night time only and all r on different floors.....

sometime we use 1 A/C only and some times 2 so... it is not fixed to use all the A/Cs all the time!!!

I have a 1.0 tonne PEL unit in my room which measures 13x13 and its pretty decent for what its worth.

Both Orient and Haier are B class rated A/Cs
Orient is made in Pakistan and Haier is made in China
Quality of both is same, last time my Haier gas was gone, due to unknown reason.

I have a 1.5 ton Haier split unit running since summer 2007. No leakages or malfunctions. The only problem I had was water drops leaking through the indoor unit and that too was a workmanship issue. Was resolved by an experienced person within 10 mins. Cools great even in the harshest of karachi summers. I recommend Haier over any other paki or chinese brand.

I have seen orient 1 tons in action... and they are pretty decent.
