Hailstorm damaged 2011 Honda Civic repair

Asalamaleikum,

I have a 2011 Honda Civic reborn that was unfortunately damaged severely due to the recent hailstorm in Islamabad. The car windows thankfully are intact, but the bodywork is damaged with many dents and chipped paintwork. I took it to a Honda 3S center and they gave an assessment that since the body damage is quite severe, they cannot use paintless dent repair and have to use other methods to fix the bodywork. But the process they will use will end up damaging the paint, so the car will need to be repainted. They have given an estimate of around 3 lakh for the job. I have had the car looked at by other denters and they also said the damage is serious and gave an estimate for about 2 lakhs for denting and repainting.

I'm curious how the knowledgeable people on PW would approach this problem, or if anyone has recommendations for denters/body shops in Islamabad I'd really appreciate the help.

oh man... really sorry for your loss. It is very disheartning to see the damage. May ALLAH make it easy for your to recover. The damage is indeed extensive and it will cost considerablly. Better to get it checked by different denters and ask for suggestions/price and then decide.

This level of widespread damage requires very extensive repair,

The roofline will probably need to be replaced as heating and hammering will destroy the structural strength of these parts.

Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it. The property damage we experienced is extensive, but we are grateful no one was injured or hurt.

@Xulfiqar: I've accepted the car resale value is ruined, so that's no longer my biggest concern. Keeping the car structurally sound is definitely important. Would it be better to find a kabuli roofline instead?

I'm curious given your extensive knowledge how would you approach this car?
