Hankook Tyres for Civic1.8

I went to a shop in DHA yesterday, Racers, my friend had to get his Pajero's tyres changed; he had already settled for Hankook, so i asked the shopkeeper what good tyres did he have for a Civic, he had all major brands, Yoko, Dunlop, Michelin, Bridgestone; ive heard some good reviews about Yoko Advan, and that tyre per piece was for 9500, but the shopkeeper asked me not to spend extra on Yoko tyres, rather get hankook which was 7500 per tyre, i tried to talk to him about the quality difference, he said it depends on how and where you usually drive your car, since my driving area is pretty decent, he asked me to get hankook tyres and save my money.

Any of you have any experience with hankook tyres, my priority is basically a tyres which is soft and not too noisy, it would automatically be good with grip and braking if its soft.

I've been using Hankook since a while now, it's been 1.5 years and they're shot. Sure they are soft and comfortable, but with my experience, the Hankooks I have tend to be noisy and squeaky at turns.

Any Hankook for 7500 will be an entry level tire and I won't recommend it, higher end Hankook tires are good though.

Yokohama Advan db on the other hand are much much better, had those on my Audi, really silent, run smooth and they last long as well unlike my Hankooks. Sure I take sharp corners at times but mostly my daily driving is at the expressway which means less corners, more speed, Yokohamas proved to be better for me.

If you really want a flawless tire, I'd say get the Dunlop SP Sport Fast Response, brilliant all-rounder. It has great dry grip, handles well at corners and performs well in wet as well, really puts all other variants to shame.

I forgot the model, but the guy was very confident, he even told me that he'd give me a one year warranty, though the tyres were of late 2011, on the other hand advan were fresh 2012.

Ask him for Dunlop Fast Response, the guy might seem confident because he knows he's getting more money out of the Hankook tires.

Otherwise just go for the Yokohama Advan dB, a couple of thousand for a set of rubber can make a lot of difference

I have dunlops on my Crown, and they're pretty nice, but my dad doesn't seem to like them, he said that they just wear off too soon, i even had them on my datsun

Any tyre which is not as expensive as advan, but better than the hankook ones, because i do all the expenses on my car from my own pocket, so you know.
